An instant classic that truly delivers on both flavor and refreshment. This lighter version of our original lager is brewed with six-row malt, a secret blend of Pacific Northwest hops, and corn from Iowa. Quenching and light, it's got the same alcohol and calorie count as a typical domestic light beer, but does it without compromising award-winning 'Gansett flavor.

Picked-up a single can at the Rhode Island Seafood Festival in Providence for five dollars. My fifth brew reviewed from these guys. This was not great, but I guess ok as far as light beers go.

Pleasantly surprised by this light version of the classic full lager. It was cheap too! Got 6 tall boys for like 8 bucks and I'm doing that 10 times out of 10 opposed to a 12oz 6-pack of Miller or Bud. Anyways it poured into a nice light golden color that was transparent but had way more color than other light lagers. I was also shocked at the frothiness of its head! An aroma of bread or crackers was there and the malty taste was similar to that of the full Gansett, but with better drinkability and smoothness. Clearly was more watery, but hey its a light beer under 4% abv. So if you're in for a party night, but don't want to resort to less flavorful big brewery light beers, this is a wonderful option.

Good solid light beer that retains the flavor of the full lager. Pours well and has a clean, crisp taste without any bitterness. A favorite but hard to get in Ohio..

Appearance
Pours out to a modest, evasive sudsy head, light golden and clear.

Aroma
Clean, crisp crackery malt, light adjunct and very faint hops. Inoffensive.

Flavor
Clean, bright and refreshing. Low bitterness and low hops, balanced and grain-forward as expected

Mouthfeel
Light and nominal CO2 for style. Feels like a premium brand. Not harsh.

Overall
Tasty, well made Light AAL with no detectable flaws. An easy thirst quencher.

Pale straw colored body. Perfectly clear. The one finger white head fizzes down rapidly.
Slight rice, corn and malt in the taste and aroma. Crackery. Some faint spicy hops at the end.
Light in body and mouth feel. Clean with medium carbonation.

A: crystal clear; pale gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded quickly to a thick collar; little lacing;

S: pilsner malt, corn, earthy and floral hops;

T: follows the nose; from the middle through the finish, there's an additional, very noticeable taste of ginger - it's like you're drinking a combination of beer and ginger ale; mild bitterness on the finish;

M: light bodied; moderate, somewhat prickly carbonation; dry finish;

O: refreshing and thirst quenching; the ginger character was odd;

This is the perfect beer to enjoy during outdoor, summertime activities, preferably near the water, while in New England. Ice cold, right out of the can. Its light, refreshing and only 3.8 ABV, so it wont bowl you over.

Buddy Johnny brought some of these back from a trip to Zoo York. Never had a thing out of this brewery considering they don't ship to Michigan. Might be alright based on what I hear but we'll see.

Look - Typical yellow though this one has a unique golden hue that tends to sparkle in the light. Head consisting of a bone white finger that rapidly dies down to nothing. Moderate carbonation appearance.

Smell - Usual low level hop with a lot of grain. Smells more on the malt side for the style. Let's see how it translates to the flavor.

Taste - Like pure white bread with a touch of hop.

Feel - Swallows easy and clean though full like bread.

Overall - Not shabby but not particularly great. Felt the profile was a bit HEAVY for the style if you could believe that. Decent enough and drinkable for what it's worth. And thus concludes my reviews for the night. On to my twelver of Hollandia.
