Stopped in here when driving through recently. Wanted to see how this compared to the LF's in down. The setup is the same as most of the new ones I've been to. Beer next to the much larger wine section. There's a small section with just a few bombers, but the amount of craft sixers is much more extensive than the Lowe's near my house. The breweries there weren't necessarily anything special except there was a good number of offerings from each represented. A good number of Victory, Stone, Highland, Bell's, etc. There was still some Oktos on the shelf so the quality takes a hit, but otherwise all is well. Service is nonexistent as most groceries are. This a gem of a spot in this little town. Saves having to drive to Winston for the staples. Anything more special, and a trip is necessary, but this place will do in a pinch for sure.

pretty good selection for grocery store. they have a whole isle dedicated to good beer and one isle for domestic, Budlight, icehouse, etc.plus they have a few varites of bombers, samuel smth ,chimay ,la fin du monde, and some others.price is a lot cheaper than a beer store. sam smiths are only 2.50 every where else 3.50.
i did one time get some 60 minute ipa got down to the last one and i guess there was a crack in the glass and it was all moldy. the sore reimbersed even though i drank all but one.

Look, we are out here in the middle of nowhere. The closest city is Winston Salem where City Beverage rules. This is a relatively new store and is kinda trendy and upscale for King. For whatever reason, it has an excellent selection of beers and wines. It carries Stone, Dogfish, and Victory which are my favorites but it also carries a pretty good stock of all different kinds of microbrews and local brews. It has a very good selection of singles and pints including a lot of beers and ales you would never expect to find in a grocery store. Indeed, the Lowes in North Winston does not have as good a selection as this Lowes. It also carries all of your regular beers. The prices are not the best, but are comparable with most and better than City Beverage. SO, this is a pleasant find for me and makes my new hometown imminently more livable.
