Pours a mahogany color with a minimal head. Medium carbonation, and a very tight lacing. The aroma you get first is the hop characters. Amarillo is very present in this one. You get some bready malts and some peppery notes lingering in the background. The taste is very much like the smell. Nice hop bitterness, toasted malts, slight candied sugar, and a slightly bitter aftertaste. Very nice sessionable red ale.
