Pours a yellowish orange color with a thick white head and just a tad of lacing. Smells of hops, sweet malts, and a little odd grain smell. Tastes of nice hops, some sweet malt on the aftertaste and some caramel. Mouthfeel is medium with a thick carbonation. Not too horrible.

On tap at Tilted Kilt in Charlotte. Served in a pint glass.

The beer is a amber orange-ish color with a respectable amount of white foamy head that recedes quickly leaving behind a fair amount of lacing

Lots of piney and floral hops in the nose. To a lesser degree there are some grapefruit notes and some slightly sweeter orange zest scents as well. There is a decent malty aroma once you get past the hops.

Much like the smell the taste is dominated by piney and grassy hops. There is also some bready malt flavors that attempt to balance the hops out. This is exactly what a decent IPA should taste like. Medium bodied and slightly slick on the tounge. Moderate carbonation and very drinkable.

I look forward to seeing more offerings from Four Friends around the Charlotte area

Pours a deep copper color with a less than a half finger nail worth of head that falls fairly quickly. Average smell on the nose. A little bit of hops along with some malt as well. Somewhat better than nose detects. Malt up front followed up by a little hops. Back-end has a linger of a bit of an undefinable aftertaste that sticks around on the palate for a while. Medium body to this one with a small amount of carbonation, palate is left a little dry. I had one other beer from this brewery in my first attempts at reviewing, then I had another. I understand this is a new brewery and they maybe finding their way in the world. But, hopefully they get better with age. I'm pulling for them.
