I couldn't find any other information on Tortuga Ale Co., but thought that this was the best place to add the beer, especially as the bartender informed us that all of the beers were "Jolly Pumpkin beers."

The beer poured a hazy golden with a tight white head that receded into some very nice lacing as the beer went down. The aroma was pretty nice with some citrus and floral hop notes, although there was something off in the balance. The taste was a little more off than the smell--the hop bitterness was certainly there, but the chemistry just wasn't right. There were some floral and earthy undertones that didn't quite fit with the bitterness and the underlying malt. As much as I wanted to like this one, I just didn't. The mouthfeel was fairly light, and drinkability was certainly hampered by the balance issues presented by the overall taste.
