With friends living in Old Town, they tell me I need to come pick up some brews for the Halloween party that night. I was currently also on the phone with my cousin and he tells me I have to check out a place called Binny's while I'm in Chicago. Little did I know after getting off the phone with him, my buddy Trevor has Binny's on his agenda for the next place to hit! Coincidence? I think not!

Walking in, it seems this is the grocery store for beer AND wine! over 8 aisles are dedicated to beer alone and this wasn't even the beginning.... They also had over 10 coolers with already fridged beer and then a separate room with cases stacked upon cases of breweries like Three Floyds, Founders, Bells, and many more. Could not beat this selection if you tried!

The staff were either at the checkout lane or at their customer service desk. I wasn't worried about getting any help but they were very friendly when spoken to.

I applied to get a Binny's card and right then knew I was coming back this weekend! Before jumping on my flight, I walked from my friend's apartment to this Binny's again (b/c Goose Island was closed that morning) and picked up multiple brews before heading home. Will be back here when in town and could recommend this to someone who is a wine lover also!

This place is amazing. The beer selection is ridicously huge and the staff is always willing to help you find something. The prices are definetly reasonable. This is a definite stop for me when I'm in Chicago.

What is there to say? This store has one of the best beer selections ever. Amazing selection and variety. Reasonably helpful staff. Prices are standard. I don't get to this location often, but when I do I'm never let down.

This is probably the greatest beer selection in one single place that I have seen in my life. The selection is humongous and classified by country. It is almost to the point where there is too much beers that it makes it hard to figure out what to buy. The tap list at the back has a great selection. Prices are reasonable and there is ample parking.

This has been my go-to store for going on 22 years.
Who else can say that ?
In the previous century, I lived two blocks from this store; then known as "Sam's" and, generally speaking, was the best store in Chicago to buy wine and beer.
Across the street is the brewpub that started Goose Island.

Binny's staff used to be great; quite patient with me when I brought in obscure lists and knew them. In the last year, there has been staff turnover; they still want to help, but help less.
Binny's Lincoln Park is regarded to have the best selection, although the Roosevelt store is thought to have a better selection from the Continent.

Located behind the Goose Island brewpub, this is the biggest Binny’s EVER! Seriously massive, almost overwhelming. I was greeted with an inordinate amount of Surly Furious as I got in, just past the registers. Then how about some Abbaye de Bon Chien, Amager, Mikkeller… Hoppin Frog barrel-aged Naked Evil, Vivant from Michigan, Founders, Slapshot and all the Chicago brands. They have at least seven or eight aisles here, all full of beer. I wish I had more time to browse and be amazed, but I will definitely come back next time I’m in Chicago.

Great selection. always make an effort to stop at Binny's when in the area and they always seem to have something that I'm looking for when i am there. Friendly knowledgeable staff as well.

Love the location across from Goose Island. Best beer selection I've seen so far in the US. My fellow Texans may disown me, but this place puts Spec's to shame. Knowledgeable and friendly beer staff. Great Belgian selection. Basically too much to choose from in the four or five long beer aisles. Then I discovered the bar on the other side of the store. Awesome interior and lighting. Too bad it closes (along with the store) way too early (9 PM).

This place is incredible. It's a one stop shop everytime I head into Chicago. If you are renting a vehicle for your trip to chicago, rent a van or a truck. Consider yourself warned! You will wish you had when you are trying to cram all those goodies into a small trunk. Super store with a fantastic selection.

First, they have a devoted parking lot, so no worries about parking. I'm from Michigan, so plenty of selection from breweries that don't distribute to my area. I was able to get a couple cases of stuff, and the prices seemed fair. Disappointed they didn't have a bit more 3 Floyds and Pipeworks, but maybe I just didn't hit them on the right day
