Finding the right balance of aroma, hoppiness, and fullness of flavor is a mountain worth climbing. That’s what we’ve done with Breck IPA. Scrutiny of ingredients and experimentation with process resulted in this yin and yang – distinctively pleasant floral aroma with crisp hop flavor that’s mellowed by Full Pint malt, a relatively new and unique malt variety. Drink up. Breck IPA is available all year long!

Massive head on this one. Bit of a musty smell. Nice foggy copper pour. Really good IPA flavor. Hoppy and juicy, with a good malty balance. May have rated this higher if it wasn’t for the excessive carbonation. Maybe it was just my bottle.

A run of the mill IPA from a run of the mill brewery. Standard flavors all the way around, which is great if you are looking for a good regular beer, but nothing special if you want something different. Pretty average.

On tap aboard United Airlines. Pours a golden, effervescent hue with moderate frothing. Mellow aroma replete with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Similar overall flavor profile.

16oz draft pour into a bulbous pint glass shows a murky yellow-straw body capped by a persistent 1/8in white small-bubbled head and leaving webbed lacing.
Aroma is baby food apricot. I can't get past it. With a little agitation, the carbonation brightens up the apricot a bit, however it dulls right back.
Flavor is apricot forward, with pint resin back and a cracker malt.
Mouthfeel is fuller-medium, almost chewy, with a wet finish.
Overall, this is not it, unless you like bubbly baby food.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass
L: Mostly clear medium golden pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Solid lacing. Bits of tiny sediment floating throughout.
S: Malty... bread and pine. Notes of citrus.
T/F: A fair amount of malt sweetness and caramel dominates the flavor. There is some hop bitterness... notes of pine and citrus... earthy and floral. Smooth... crisp carbonation. Finish is grains and citrus with some lingering bitterness.
O: Not bad... a malt forward IPA that is still very drinkable and enjoyable. Not a superstar beer but I wouldn't turn down another.

Look: Decent 2 finger head from a 12 oz bottle. Head dissipated very quickly. Some lacing continued on, but not very impressive. Cloudy and yellowish brown.
Smell: Malty and sweet just before the citrusy hops push through. But not very aromatic overall.
Taste: At first, there's a funky tang mixed with some fairly strong bitterness from the hops. The bitterness fades and makes room for a malty, buttery, savory, and funky tang. It gets pretty sweet during this transition. The sweetness dries out, and some bitterness comes back. When the flavors fade out, you are left with citrus/mango notes and some slightly smokey malt aftertaste.
Feel: Medium / lower. Not much carbonation. Tastes a bit oily.
Overall: Decent. Has most of the key characteristics of some of the top IPAs, but the low carbonation and funk take the score down for me. Good though!

This is a hazy, fruity, unfiltered IPA. The color is dark straw and the head is white and medium in size. The aroma is composed of fruit, floral hop scents, a bit of caramel-like malt underneath. The taste is balanced, with plenty of malt sweetness, balanced with bitterness and hop flavor. Medium-full in body, drinkable, and enjoyable.

Straightforward hops and bread malts in smell and taste. Appears with hazy gold color with minimal head and decent lacing. Not bad, just completely unremarkable.
