Thinner than I'd expect for porter. Also relatively high kcal for the ABV (210kcal), even considering it's a porter. FAir amount of carbonation. Kind of reminds me of a more robust black and tan.

Dark cola-like color. Thin beige head. Appears to have considerable carbonation. Somewhat of a caramel and nut aroma. Smooth tasting. Not much bitterness and that's not a bad thing. I bought it off the shelf not chilled and threw it in the freezer for an hour or so - so it would be cold and ready to drink that afternoon. Might have overdone that a bit. I'm liking most everything about this beer. On the next go round I'll try it simply refrigerated which is likely to be a tad warmer. Almost feel like the super-coldness suppressed the flavor a bit.

There are so many things here just just miss the spot. The the non existing head dissipated almost immediately. The nose was coffee and maybe chocolate with maybe a hint of vanilla. The taste follows the nose with overpowering coffee (not in a good way) and some chocolate. There is a very mild vanilla flavor that has to be really looked for. Considering this has flavoring added and has "vanilla" in giant letters on the bottle, it is disappointing. The mouthfeel is where this just falls on its face - thin and watered down are two things that come to mind. It would be ok if this was a decent porter but it doesn't even deliver on that. There will not be a repeat of this unremarkable brew for me.

Good for a flavored beer. Not too strong vanilla flavor and not too sweet.

Was a decent porter, my main thing is that in the first few sips, the vanilla hits you in the face. It smells and looks wonderful. Glad I tried it but won’t search aimlessly for another bottle.

Not anything particularly special. Felt quite crispy and lively with carbonation, but not very full-bodied. Have not gone out of my way to get it again.

Poured from a bottle into a clean tall cristal glass it shows a deep brown color and very fine bubbles that rise slowly, like th coffee cream on a good espresso ristretto. On the nose it doesn´t have as much vanilla as one would expect from the name. Initial taste is flat but as the beer wrms more notes come out but the vanilla is never overpowering. The feel is a bit thin for a porter. I would drink it again.

On tap nitro to pint glass. Very dark amber, nearly black. Nice full tan head with good retention. Bready nose, hint of vanilla malt sweetness. Sweet but subtle vanilla, with roasty malt balance and grain finish. Full mouthfeel that finishes dry. Drinkable.
