12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Dark brown on the pour with a deep ruby hue. Two fingers of creamy off white head retain marvelously. A thick collar of lacing paints the glass.

S: Strong pull of vanilla extract, molasses, cola, caramel. Bread pudding., Hershey's syrup. Soft charcoal from the roasted malt stays in the background.

T: Charcoal and roasted malt lay a baseline. Cola, caramel, molasses, brown bread and crust. Big wash of vanilla extract. Chocolate syrup. Slightly woody. Hint of oily hop bitterness. Finishes with a pull of vanilla, chocolate sauce, and roast.

M: Medium thick body. Low carbonation. Creamy in texture, but lacking some dimension.

O: This is a beer that will appeal to the drinker who has a serious sweet tooth. It's a little too much for me personally, but it's a great introductory beer for those who "don't like dark beer".
