Poured into a Perfect Pint glass.
A: Deep chestnut with pretty good clarity and minimal carbonation. A soapy cream cap takes awhile to build, but has decent retention. Leaves a patchwork of lace.
S: Chocolate covered Maraschino cherries pretty much sums up the nose. There's a touch of alcohol at work too.
T: Unsweetened baking chocolate and a bit of caramel hit first. Bitterness is mild and somewhat grassy. Toward the finish is a slightly medicinal cherry flavor that grows as the beer warms. Alcohol adds a touch of warmth going down.
M: The medium-heavy body is syrupy and sticky. Carbonation feels just about right.
D: This is a pretty decent Imperial Porter. It was a nice complement to the warm night on which I drank it.

It's almost black with a tan lacing. It's got legs.
It's got a dried fruit smell with a bit of roasted malts.
Very fruity beer. Raisiny and figgy. It's really, REALLY sweet. Not very roasty or hoppy.
It's thick with little to no carbonation.
This doesn't seem at all like porter. It seems more like a seet, fruity stout. Not sure how this is a porter. This beer also doesn't warm well.
