Tasted vs Smuttynose Summer Weizen (perhaps the best summer ale tasted thus far).
So far not a big fan of Breckenridge.

A: Flat, fast fade head, no lace, clear thin flat gold body. Can dated today, so near end of its life, perhaps why it's in the WFM craft pack.
**TRIED A FRESHER - And the lace and appearance were better (upgraded to 3.5)

S: Not much. Malts, lemon zest. Kind of mass market meh. ** Still mass market meh.
T: Follows the meh smell - the S_MEH_L. Sorry. But it's a pretty solid lemony summer ale. ** Better, upgraded to 3.5
MF: Too thin and flat. *** With fresher bottle, it's fine.

Many others are better. Breckenridge has been lack luster.

SummerBright Ale from Breckenridge Brewery, another first. Poured from the bottle into a glass, this brew's got no head, just a very finely bubbled skimpy layer. Lacing is pretty decent in the lighter golden straw body.

The smell here is kind of "blah" . I can barely notice the wheat, let alone any other characteristics. Its too bad they didn't give this brew a fuller scent.

I taste mellow wheat and even mellower malts. Virtually no hop bitterness. Its still balanced, though. Certainly not leaning solely on the sweet side. Above all: this is smooth and refreshing.

Mouthfeel is clean and easy-drinking. Very good job at quenching!

Overall a very solid 3.75 for SummerBright Ale from Breckenridge Brewery. If the aroma would've been slightly more potent, I think it would've earned a 4. It sure does the job of cooling you down& wetting your whistle. I may pick this brew up again.

This is a nice summer beer (pretty sure it is not year-round). Not too high on the ABV, low on the hops, light body. The lemon and orange citrus is not overt. Has a nice wheatyness. Overall an enjoyable ale. Would be an ideal hot summer afternoon quencher. Highly sessionable.
