Pours a pale straw color with a half finger of head that dissipated quickly. The nose was yeasty. The body was light. The flavor profile was fairly bland with a semi-interesting mild dryness on the finish.

I was looking for something relatively light today and this fit the bill more or less – nothing to write home about or repeat.

This is a pale yellow-gold color with a thin white head. The aroma has a subtle wheat scent, and the taste has a faint twang. No real hop presence, but there is a little fruit and a slight spice and flower note. Medium to light in mouthfeel. It's a reasonable summer brew. Nothing outstanding.

A beer with Summer written all over it, granted its in the name, this is a lager like experience. It's attributes are straight wheat bread, cracker and dough with a dry refreshing feel. This style is never overly diverse but this ale is strong in flavor and aroma. Very good hot weather quencher.

Drank out of can and also poured into a spiegelau glass.

A - Golden honey look with a slight bit of haze, but not much cloudiness at all.

S - lemon citrus aroma - light wheat

t- more wheat with slight citrus taste.

M - light body

O - easy summer sipper. Somewhere between shandy and wheat ale but leaning more to ale side.

Just short of "outstanding", this is still an excellent brew. Its clean and smooth, the color is true to the name, and the lemon peel gives it enough character to come back for more. I'd prefer the Summer Bright over a Leinenkugel any day.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on January 20, 2014.

It looks the way it is supposed to with a pale yellow color and full white fizzy head but the head fades quickly. Good clarity.

I am not picking up much wheat in the aroma. I am picking up more roasted grainy malts with a mild sweetness but nothing that jumps out at me. It tends to be grassy too.

The body is light and refreshing but it is also smooth and creamy.

The taste has a grainy malt character up front but next to no wheat character. Biscuity and yeasty though. Crisp clean hop finale. Nothing special but generally easy to drink.

A - bright lemony slightly hazy. Little to no head and just as much lacing. Although what lacing I found clung to the sides with a kung fu grip.

S - faint little to no scent. Not sure why.

T - sweet like watery lemonade stirred with a biscotti for bread flavor. Slight hop aftertaste.

M - solid but a touch loose

D - fine. Will come back to this one I feel like its missing something.

Big white to slightly off white head just sort of sits there above a cloudy well carbonated washed out straw golden colored beer.

Light lemon citrus aroma without much else going on.

Light lemon and orange citrus taste, seems slightly washed out.

Light almost lemon sourish and slightly dry aftertaste on this light bodied beer.

Pretty light tasting beer, might be a nice beer to have in the evening on a super hot summer night.

Enjoyed directly out of the can this time. No discernible date on the can to indicate bottling or best by date.

Appearance - I can't really comment here, having drunk it out of the can, but it did seem to have a light yellow hue to it. I scored appearance in line with my overall score.

Smell - Some grain and mild wheatiness, but mostly faint lemon. That's right, the "dominant" flavor is even pretty damn faint.

Taste - If I didn't know better, I'd say this was a shandy, based on how the predominant characteristic remains the lemon, and it has a sort of sweet lemon drink flavor to it, rather than the genuine, natural lemon notes you'll get from a good hefeweizen or wheat beer. It's not even good for the style really, because you just don't get much of the wheat out of the flavor.

Mouthfeel - Light bodied and low carbonation. Easy to drink, but methinks they should have just gone for a full-on shandy and then at least people wouldn't be confused by the very present lemonade characteristics.

Overall, a beer I'm not likely to have again. Too much lemonade and not enough hops or wheat. Sure it's refreshing as a drink, but ultimately fails to live up to the title of "beer".

When I was in CO, I was given a 6-pack of cans. Thank you very much. Now it's time to review. I had this on tap at the Breckenridge Brewery but didn't review it at the time.

Poured from a can with no date code into a pint glass and got 1 1/2 fingers of head.

A: Pours a yellow straw color with 1 1/2 fingers of head that dissipates rather quickly to just cover the top of the glass but that stays until the end.

S: There is really nothing too much. Maybe a smell of yeast and some wheat.

T: Again, there is really nothing there. Some wheat is about all. I was expecting at least a little orange and lemon. It's kind of bland. That's what I thought of it on tap, too.

M: It is medium boded and finishes a little dry. The carbonation leaves quickly so I becomes bland fast and it is especially bland at the end. It is drinkable, though.

O: This is not my favorite beer but it is not a drain pour either. I guess that I'm more disappointed than anything in that I didn't notice any orange or lemon or anything citrusy. I am glad that I tried it, though. I don't think I will go to it again.

Enjoyed this 12 oz beer out of a standard pint glass.

A: Pours a light golden hue with a small white wispy lace that for a for awhile.

S: Fruity orange and wheat aroma.

T: Crisp and slightly tart flavor up front followed by a fruity middle and finished on the dry side of fruity.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

O: Decent beer – nothing would I grab again.

A- sterling straw color, head recedes quickly, little lace, good level of bigger sized bubbles coming from bottom of glass.

S- cereal graininess and sweetness with lemon zest and orange pith.

T- slightly sweet attack with a crisp citrusy finish, little hop bitterness. Finish lingers for a bit with a lemony citrus complemented with a cereal grain taste

M- Moderately full, remains crisp.

O- a fine summertime slammer, the lemon/orange citrus notes are pleasantly restrained.

Poured from bottle into glass.

Appearance: Clear, pale golden with light head.

Aroma: Citrus (mostly orange)

Taste: Light flavor of a pale ale followed by citrus (definite taste of orange) with a tartness which I’m assuming comes from the lemon. Ending with a sweet taste similar to that of a wheat beer. Nice malty flavor without losing the hop-flavor and crispness of a pale ale.

Mouthfeel: Crisp yet smooth. Has a dry start, but does not linger.

Overall: Great summer brew. Light and refreshing, but still has a bit of a kick to it coming from the hops. Nice citrus flavor that is not overbearing and is fulfilling. Pleasant aftertaste (of a wheat beer with hints of hops) and does not linger too long. Just enough to remind you to take another swig.

Gold in color with a super-tight cap of white. Tiny, tiny bubbles that can't be distinguished from one another. Laces really nicely, too. Great looking beer.

Light grassy aromas with a lemony citrus tail. Golden malts and lightly herbal hops offer a nice touch. Decent.

A little "blah". Beery malts with an ale yeast bent, but hardly fruity. Some grassy, near-pilsner, maltiness. Hops are very small and sprite. Push a little lemon/orange to the surface. Mild bitterness. Finishes with that, and more crispness. Lightly English-tasting. Like a weak English Pale Ale. Nice creaminess that almost translates to the flavor. Soft and super-smooth with a backend burpy spritz, as if the dissolved gas starts to separate late in the mouthfeel.

Okay. Passable summer ale with a little character to boot. Again, it's okay.

Poured from the can into a wheat ale glass.

A sudsy and thin bleach white head, grows to about two fingers on the pour, sits on top of a clear slightly pale and brass yellow body. Lots of cola carbonation and rising bubbles, most of it rising quite quickly. Head settles to a filmy soapy thin puck.

Rank nose. Hints of bile and sticky yeast no matching sense of fruit mentioned from the label. Not even a sense of malt on this either.

Palate matches the nose which makes for not a real fun experience. First sip is very much like first smell, rank and dirty a bit. Wet palate barely manages to hold the flavor. Now sense of chewy wheat backbone to this at all. Afterfinsh surprisingly produces most of the flavor and enjoyment giving this beer nearly an okay grade but not quite. Afterfinish brings a bit of a doughy wheat texture, but there is no fruit taste this though.

Overall this is pretty disappointing for what it claims. No sense of orange. lemon, or barely and malt with a rank bouquet. I'll pass.

Breckinridge : SummerBright

LOOK: Clear deep straw colored beer with a short lived white topping that recedes to a ring. Leaves behind some lace on the pint. Appears like a lighter summer option which is all the rage in these times.
SMELL: Juicy citrus with orange, lemon and lime.
TASTE: Malt and wheat up front, giving way to squeezed lemon and orange peel. Hops are also citrusy with a faint note of pine.
FEEL: Light to medium bodied, and well carbonated. Finishes nice and balanced, with a small dry hop.
OVERALL: A refreshing summer option. Has a good body, full on citrus and complimentary hoppy bitterness. I could see myself having a few of these at a BBQ.

i think I probably like this one a little more than the masses here. fresh on tap its a really nice sessionable brew, and even though it snowed 6 inches last night, it brought me to summertime right away. it pours just slightly hazy, pale yellow in color, with an inch of short lived white head. the nose is fresh lemons and white wheat malt, a good combo for summer. there is also a brighter ale yeast that gives an interesting touch of spice, and a ton of carbonation, which contributes to a refreshing beer for summer. the lemon peel is strong in the flavor, not acidic, but tart for sure. it cuts some of the heavier wheat flavors, and leaves the brew with a zesty and clean finish. this isn't a particularly adventurous brew, but compared to some other breck seasonals, this one is a little more inspired, and one I may find myself enjoying quite a bit of as the warmer weather comes in. the body is light but the beers isn't watery. it also tastes a lot more fresh than breck beers usually do to me, not adjunct or preservative heavy, this is a more than adequate addition to the summer beer shelf.

I am pretty sure that this was part of a box that my local in-person trader, tone77, dropped off for me, but since he has not reviewed it, I am now unsure.

From the CAN: "Honest and Solid in Construction"; "Complete and Satisfying in Drinking"; "Malt Beverage brewed with orange and lemon peels".

The Crack and inverted Glug produced a finger of rocky, bone-white head with moderate retention. Color was a hazy sunshine yellow. Nose had a citrusy smell like furniture polish, but not in a bad way. That is just what came to mind when I leaned into it. As the head fell, some nice lacing began to form. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium and the tangy citrus flavor was evident on the tongue, but it seemed kind of muted. Finish was semi-dry and citrusy, but I somehow felt like it lacked any real Ooomph. Oh well.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Shit, with this pathetically mild Winter, Summer doesn't seem so far away... Anyway, this stuff pours a hazy straw topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises lemon peel, orange zest, light cracked wheat, and a touch of grass. The taste generally brings in more of the same, but now the lemon takes command (and in quite the funky style), and some mild cardboard buts its way in as well. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a wet feel. Overall, though I can see people actually enjoying such a lemonade-y beer in the Summer months, this stuff just ain't my schtick. The lemon is too forward and slightly artificial-tasting and the cardboard element doesn't do anybody any favors.

Poured a clear deep straw hue with a minimal wispy white cap. There was little retention and lacing.

The smell featured cereal grains and caramel.

The taste consisted a drab round malts with a slight herbal hop.

The mouthfeel was full with a lazy carbonation.

Overall uneventful.

Mix-n-match 6 pack purchase in DeLand, FL.

This beer pours nicely with a thick, bubbly white head. It's pale yellow in color and is slightly cloudy. It has the look of a solid wheat beer. Smells of sweet husky corn, wheat bread, strawberries, and bubblegum. First taste reveals mild wheat flavors with some lemony rinds and a little bit of grassy hops. Flavoring is light but that's what you'd expect from a summer ale like this. The beer goes down smoothly and is light and bubbly on the tongue, crisp. All in all a nice refreshing wheat beer that is light both in taste and body. For what it's trying to be it does the trick.

S - Lemon-bread. Sassafras. Chamomile tea.

Breckenridge SummerBright Ale is a sparkling, slightly hazy, bright yellow ale. There isn't really any head. It has an aroma of grain, lemon and alcohol. It's light bodied and watery. It leaves the mouth a little chalky. It tastes a little sour with a little citrus peel bitterness. The flavor of alcohol is quite dominant. I really don't have any purpose for this beer.
