Very nice folks. Great atmosphere. They don't have a huge list, but they had two beers I really enjoyed. I had a great meal myself, and everyone around me seemed to be enjoying theirs. If you're in that part of Brooklyn, it's a place to go for sure.

Was here for the Founder's Tap Takeover 5/16.

A - Has a hipster vibe. Place looked like and old building from the outside. Chalkboard listed the selections. Crowd was a good mox of beer drinkers and locals wandering about.

Q - Not a fancy place but it had a cozy feel.

Serv - You have to order everything at the bar. Service was slow and if I wasn't with folks for the event it might have taken much longer to get food\beer. But all pours were in the proper glassware.

Sel - 10 taps of Founders including Curmudgeon's Better Half. I checked the beermenus list and they seem to have a great selection all the time. Bottles of Cantillion were available.

F - Has the bacon cheeseburger (recommended on foursquare) and it was good. Average portion.

V - For a craft beer place, and one in NYC, this was a fair price. Pints of craft beer for as low as $5 is more than reasonable.

I don't know if I'll be out that way again, but I'd recommend DW as a place to get some good beer.

Spent a few hours here on New Years Eve (before we did the Midnight Run at Prospect Park-nothing like running a 5k drunk on good beer).
I thought this would be really crowded since it was NYE, however we walked in and found 2 empty seats at the bar.
Nice fun atmosphere...looks like an old time bar mixed with hipster decor and beer posters and signs. Nice long bar with a chalkboard listing all the brews...about a dozen or so. Nice selection...I think 10 of the 12 were brews I never had. They poured the brew in appropriate glass which is very important to me.
They said they had a cask, but empty when I was there. They are always updating the beer list on as well.
The service was what you would expect from a bunch of hipsters...nice but stand-off-ish at the same time...its Brooklyn!
The food looked awesome, but didnt have any.
Prices were very reasonable for NYC...around $6/beer.
Overall, id go back in a minute.

An up and coming place. 14 taps, with a couple of them newer rarer items. Not so many bottles, but also a couple that were thought out and from the better selection about Brooklyn. A good place for drinks, fairly full on a Saturday night at 8 pm, many people eating. Service was good and it was friendly despite the obstacles, though I would not ask them about the beers. Loud but not ear shattering, conversations were to be had, among your own crowd. Frindly, recent college graduate crowd. No room at the bar. People liked the food.

The worst part about moving out of Windsor Terrace, aside from lack of access to Prospect Park, was leaving behind the Double Windsor. The bar opened up while I was living there, but due to the worn wood interior and other touches, it feels it's been there for decades. The beer selection is fantastic and rotates frequently. And I LOVE the happy hour deal, $2 off all drafts, I don't know why everybody doesn't do this. They also do beer flights which are great. The food is out of this world, small menu and everything is done really well. I'm no vegetarian but I highly recommend the roasted vegetable sandwich.

I had some incredible beers while studying for the bar exam at this place, and wish I could get back more often. I wish they used the actual tap handles because they always look cooler (they use generic taps and have a beer menu).

Overall, an incredible bar with great beer at great prices.

Okay, but I don't really know what the avenues do, so how to get where thereish, you point, I'll turn. You know I don't play down that way and for good reason, and really, I don't even know what you're talking about anyway. What park? Whatever! And damn you traffic circle, traffic circle, you know I get spinnin' dizzy. I'll just kept my eyes on the horizon when navigating, won't get sick or fly off kilter and smash nothin' up or nothin'. Alas, park off the corner bar...

Off to the right, a "J" shaped wood bar with a lip seating what looks to be 18 or so on stools. Barback on the long part is booze shelved over tiered on brick with white Xmas lighting and more below. Fit boards vertically hug the corner listing tap selections & price, a few cocktails and the craft beer can on the week. Drop lanterns tracing the bar and candles lit along the way.

Walls, yes, they have them; some brick, some concrete with exposed brick, some painted pieces, and the front and parts of the side wall vertical windows framed with shorty windows above. Back wall holds brewery signage, up front a single flatscreen up high, more brewery signage and a board with upcoming events. Plank wood floors with the forward areas done in honeycomb black & white. Slat wood ceilings with painted pieces above pressed tin lowers and Xmas tree colored lighting along the top of the wall all around. A few spinnys and exposed ductwork with an elbow. Framed ornate mirrors, a drop birdcage, and a single print, the quintessential "We want beer" prohibition play.

A pair of tables in the front windows forward. Across the way, a single looong table adjacent to the bar. 3 more tables on the far wall and bar counter space "L"ing the front corner.

14 taps on a row tower on the bar, most of it craft and more than 1/3 of them IPA's; it being IPA week and all. Local (Chelsea Black Hole XXX Stout), regional (Penn Kaiser Pils, Allagash White, River Horse Tripel Horse, Ithaca Ground Break Saison, Lake Placid IPA), and beyond (Stone IPA, Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye, Avery IPA, Great Divide Titan IPA, Founders Curmudgeon Old Ale, Avery Ellie's Brown), plus a single import (Van Steenberge Monk's Flemish Sour Red Ale) and (Docs) Cider. Was toying with the Avery Ellie's Brown, but went with the Chelsea Black Hole XXX Stout. Not that's it's any of your business but I think Chelsea makes good stouts and porters, so that's why. $6 tap beers across the board, except for the IPA's, which are $5.

They also have a dozen + bottles & cans as far as I can tell. No list, but I can see them coolered below the bar. I just look like an idiot standing up and throwing my torso over the bar to see what's down there, but that's how I flounder (Oskar Blues Dales Pale Ale, Captain Lawrence Nor Easter, Left Hand Chainsaw Ale, Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA, Sam Adams Summer, Avery White Rascal, as well as offerings from Brewdog, Riverhorse, Meantime, 't Gaverhopke, and some lovely, lovely macros).

And a board there listing foodings. I'd etten already but I can still look. I don't know why Dave says I would do better with the classic BLT than the shrimp BLT. It wouldn't be in lieu of bacon, it would be in addition to, right? I thought it a curious thing of him to say. Unless he just wants to deny me shrimp, which is not outside the realm of possibility (he's kind of like that). I will revisit this with him and get back to you.

Reasonably priced booze & beer, the food is a bit much though. "High on themselves", says Witz. Hmmn, shrimp BLT, that'll need to be looked in on. Comfortable, chill place, good open space. Twice as good as the regular Windsor, in my opinion.
