Don’t judge a book by its cover! If it wasn’t recommended to me I would not have gone it - and that would have been a mistake! Good selection of house beers as well as 7-10 other high quality drafts.
Food was above average. Small high quality menu.
Vibe was like a professional opium den. Great art. Walk up to the turn table and throw the album you want to hear on.

A freind said you really need to check this place out its totally renovated and MY GOD the selection of beer is crazy.
I had been here years ago when it was just one of the many shot and beer bars the only food was the jar of pickled eggs sitting there or some dried fish blind robin? So I was very interested in the renovations and new direction.
Arriving the whole place was very new and very much different from the old place, the bar now opposite where it once resided years ago.The one thing I did notice , no TV, basically stated if you want to watch TV go home this is where good people meet and talk mostly about the beers on tap or what they are drinking.
The food is awesome every time I go in its always great. I think there are like 12-13 taps there and all are spectacular selections. Pretty reasonable price wise and nice sized portions. very helpfull staff.
Definitley be a returning destination!

From the outside this gem looks pretty basic with few windows, only a couple neon signs, and one light above the door beckoning you to enter. Once inside you will wonder what happened to the previous Hollywood Gardens if you had that fortune. Modern styling is abundant with low lighting, big comfy arm chairs, and these alien looking fans above the actual bar.
The newly renovated Hollywood holds a beer cave just to the left of the bar where some real treats reside. Mostly American brewers with a good mix of Euro beers fill the coolers. The bottom row usually has the business, bombers of Oaked Yeti and Hop Stoopid is just a few of my purchases.
Once seated at the bar you still have your draught options which usually cover most styles, one being a dedicated Belgium tap. Bartenders are helpful and considerate, but a bit young at times. This is just the same with the bar so it's easy to forgive when you see the prices 1-2 dollars cheaper than everyone else. You can really enjoy the beer without worrying about the pocket book.
Menu offerings are basic. Hot dogs of every variety and a couple appetizers.
All said this is a craft beer oasis in the monotony of bars in the area. If you're lucky and the moon is shining just right the owner will be there, making your experience that much better.
