Poured this one into a standard pint glass, and the brew makes a finger and a half head of white, and the body is orangish copper, and is moderately hazy.

The aroma is caramel, pumpkin, vanilla, nutmeg, and slight veggie.

The taste is nutmeg dominant, some fleshy pumpkin in the middle. a quarter of the way there is an earthy bitterness, and finishes vanilla sweet with a creamy feeling.

Overall medium in body, and soft on the palate in the way of mouth feel.

Extremely hazy dull copper to light brown in color. There's a fingernail of light brown around the rim and covering most of the top. The aroma is aggressively spiced with pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. I taste a muddled palette where the base beer is a bit limp and flat and does not hold up well with the heavy spicing. There's definitely nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, allspice, and pumpkin pie spice.

Appearance - medium amount of lacing and head on this burnt orange see through beer

Smell - cloves! Pumpkin flavor and lots of spices

Taste - again, lots of spices in this one. Nice sweet finish as well.

Mouthfeel - light easy drinker that leaves your mouth wanting more pumpkin

Overall - great pumpkin beer!

DATE TASTED: September 25, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Sam Adams lager.. OCCASION: Shark Tank Season seven begins!... APPEARANCE: light, soft orange-colored body that is hazy; a creamy white head that matches the creamsicle theme; head retention is great; ... AROMA: nutmeg, apple, pumpkin, and toasted bread make for an appealing aroma; gingerbread and cinnamon are also present; some alcohol late... PALATE: initially, creamy at the froth; thin, slightly bubbly at the throat, reminiscent of ginger ale...reasonably easy-drinking... TASTE: the aroma is indicative of Big Muddy's offering--pumpkin, nutmeg, apple, cinnamon, with caramel, gingerbread and soft, floral hops...a veritable garden of flavors that leaves a soft, tangible aftertaste... OVERALL: a spice beer that flirts between an ale and a lager--I lean towards a lager in the mouthfeel and strength...the beer is Autumnal, no doubt, and packages the better flavors of the season in a palatable way...

Appearance: Decent layer of thin foam, but not much lacing to speak of. Like golden brown in color. It's not amazing, but I can't complain a whole lot.

Smell: Hef-like banana smell with nutmeg and just a hint of cinnamon. I really like the fruitiness, which gives this a unique touch as far as pumpkin ales go.

Taste/Mouthfeel: This is a bit bitter. It seems as if the bittneress comes from orange peel or something along those lines. Not a whole lot of pumpkin itself, but I detect peppery notes and pumpkin spice. A bit too bitter/sour for me. Good yeasty body initially that fizzles in the end a bit.

Overall Drinkability: Definitely a unique beer.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a murky dull copper colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is full of pumpkin, malt, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. The taste is a perfect match of the aroma and is an excellent example of a pumpkin ale.

Pours a murky copper hued brown with a tight head of foam.

Baker's spices, pumpkin, and earthy hops.

Earthy hop bitterness, pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Medium-bodied, low carbonation.

Overall, a decent pumpkin ale.

Semi-cloudy orange glow,1 finger of yellow tinted head that recedes at a moderate pace. smells of nutmeg and pumpkin.

Deceiving for 6%. Rather light bodied with whispy carbonation. good bit of pumpkin taste with some malt sweetness. just enough spice to balance things. Not overly spice or overly flavored, enough malt to give it enough body to remind you its a beer but finishes thin clean and dry like a soda. pretty good and again, deceptively light for 6%. Could have a bit more in it to remind you it's a beer though, almost like a pumpkin beer soda hybrid but not even close to the way shipyard pumpkin head tastes like pumpkin soda.
