Bottle. Clear pale yellow.

Tastes like a euro pale lager. Skunky and Heineken like. Bready and biscuity malts. Grassy hops. Not much else here. Light bodied. About it.

Bottle from Asian market. Typical pale lager, cereal aromas. Sweet malt and wet paper dominate the taste. Some kind of finish, feel a coating on my tongue, not sure what it is

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) green bottle into a conical pint glass; no production information
A: Pours a crystal clear, dark straw or light bronze color with less than a quarter inch head, Little retention and soapy lacing.
S: Aromas of grains, toast, and cocoa.
T: Taste follows the nose. Bitterness limited.
M: Very light bodied. Carbonation a little disappointing for a Dortmunder.
O: I have not had enough Dortmunders to say anything beyond an interesting take on the style. In fairness, not as bad as many of the comments would suggest.

This was a skunked bottle but that's what happens when you put beer in green bottles and ship them across the globe. Beyond this, the beer was fairly malty and with a slight alcoholic bite. No hops obviously, on the nose or flavor. Medium body and without hardly any carbonation at all.

My number choice of beer at any Vietnamese restaurant if they got it. One of the few beers you almost can't buy anywhere. There's a Vietnamese grocery store in San Diego with them on palettes.

However if you find it in most places it's $10.99 and over per 6pk. Yet that place had it at 7.99. Worth it. It's a beer. But the feeling is why I love it.

Had at a very good French Vietnamese restaurant. 33 went well with 5 of 6 dishes ordered, the hold-out was spicy. 33 is a malted, sweet accompaniment to a good kitchen; but not an beer aficionado's friend.

It is what it is. Lots of aromas of malt, sugary sweetness and rice. Basically a low level AB produce. Feel is not that bad, but too many cheap additives make this beer a well below average drink..

$ 2.03 (Including tax)/12 oz bottle ($ 0.169/oz) at State Line Liquors, Elkton, MD
Filled 8.4.15 Expires 8.4.16 at 42 degrees into a hand washed and dried JK snifter
Aroma – very faint wet grain, lasts
Head – small (< one cm, aggressive pour), white, fizzy, rapidly gone leaving neither ring nor layer
Lacing – none
Body – gold, clear, some effervescence
Flavor – slightly bitter, very light malt flavor; no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate light to medium, watery, lively carbonation

Not bad for a nearly year-old lager or for any lager, for that matter. One and done.

I don't see any date listed on the bottle.

Appearance: The beer is a light-to-medium shade of gold with amber hues on the edge. The beer is very transparent. The head develops into a very short white cap that quickly fades to a ring and a small film of white bubbles. No lacing.

Aroma: I get a faint sweet cereal grain smell and a bit of sulfur.

Taste: It does have a slight bit of caramel flavor with somewhat of a cracker taste. There is a bit of hop flavor in here but it is very light.

Mouthfeel: High carbonation, light body, crisp but off-dry finish.

Overall: The beer tastes alright enough that I could sit down and actually enjoy the beer. This is mainly because there is a hop presence and a touch of caramel malt sweetness. What really did start to negatively impact the drinking experience was the presence of sulfur on the nose. It just isn't the cleanest smelling lager. I doubt I would buy it again and aside from the novelty of having a beer from Viet Nam I don't think it warrants importation. If I were actually in Viet Nam I would probably buy it though. I can't say that I would recommend it unless you want to see how beers from Viet Nam taste. If that is the case then you will probably be glad to know that this beer actually has some decent flavors.
