Golden hued and very hazy in complexion. There's fingernail of dishwater white on top. Heavy lacing. The aroma is of faint pine. I'm tasting a nice piney hop flavor with a gentle, but firm bite at the end. The mouth is smooth and creamy from the oats.

12 FL OZ bottle
Served in a stemless oversized wine glass

This beer pours a hazy, straw color that is topped with an inch of white head that leaves little lacing.

It has a nice tropical fruit nose and some impressive dankness.

It tastes just like it smell. I get some dank hops along with tropical fruit. The taste does have some pine bitterness that the smell lacked.

Full mouthfeel

This is pretty solid. It is a little more bitter than I care for. I like the tropical fruit and dankness a lot.

A rather hazy looking IPA with a nice 1/2 inch of frothy head that pulls back to some great lacing. Smells of a decent IPA mango and papaya hops with some oatmeal like sweetness. Taste is pretty balanced again sweet hops meet balanced malts with some bitter hops in the finish not getting much in taste of oats. Body is spot on for the style a bit more medium with easy drink ability. Overall not really doing much for me especially since the DIPA was cheaper and I got more flavor and ABV kick.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/7/2017. Pours lightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.7%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the moderately bitter/drying finish. They completely missed the NE IPA aspect of this one; but it is still a delicious IPA, with a great hop profile. Very vibrant, dank, and piney; with a nice malt backbone from the oats. A very enjoyable offering.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was about a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head. Dissipated ever so slowly to leave some fairly thick lace around the glass.
The aroma had tangerine, floral/grassy hop sweet to bitterness, some pink guava, melon, pine and ended with a little bit of earthiness.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side covering the prior aromas to balance quaintly. Sly bitterness came in to grace the underneath. Aftertaste was smooth, sweet and semi-fruity.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt appropriate. ABV felt as projected. Oats did do their job in ensuring that the bitter harshness was pulled down to create the expected smoothness.
Overall, a well done AIPA by North Peak. Thanks for the opportunity from a Michigan friend.
