Pours a slight orange tinged light golden with a tight thinner but well sustained white head atop.Somewhat different aromas for the style, some caramel/biscuit,light roasted pumpkin, and earthy hops. The feel is sharp and a little thin and takes away from a pretty good flavor profile.Graham cracker and mild pie spice with a toasted element as well,a decent shot of earthy hops in the finish.Kind of a different take on the style, but I wouldn't say top notch.

Deep golden color with excellent clarity. A half inch of eggshell white foam sits on top. Brussels lacing. Weak aroma of cereal grains and cinnamon. The taste showcases an odd blend of piny hops, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. The mouth is fairly carbonated.

I noticed a hoppy trend toward pumpkin ales when I tried Autumnation from Sixpoint. This looks to be one of the influenced brewers from Michigan brewing their own interpretation. Appears a light pale copper hue with fine off white head filling my glass, speckled lacing coats the chalice. Nose is full of citric hops with hints of pumpkin spice peaking through, it's quite intense in the nares. Hoppy intense rich bitter ale with pumpkin edges, it's a hophead marriage with a gourdhead, in my opinion this is too hoppy to even clearly blend with a pumpkin ale but I'm a hophead who is going to keep drinking this beer. Really light bodied carbonation carries everything so well, bitterness rolls on with each sip. Let's get things straight this is uber hoppy and not so pumpkin ale spiced. I like it but it's assaulting my palate, hard to explain go experience this hopped up fall seasonal.

This beer is on the lighter side for the style, dark yellow with a haze that clears up. The ivory head reaches one finger and good retention is displayed as it falls very slowly and always has a creamy unbroken foam. Lacing is pretty heavy and plentiful.
There's a hoppiness to this beer, yes, but most noticeable is an overall vegetal quality imparted by the pumpkin. It's more strongly hoppy in the flavor, and the perfume and floral bitterness is stronger than in the smell. It's not close to heavily spiced, something like clove coming out in the nose but nothing by way of kitchen spices, cinammon, etc. It's more raw pumpkin flesh but, again, a more vegetal quality. It's okay, but it's not pure pumpkin flesh or pumpkin pie, it's some thing somewhere in between and raw.
The body is lightly crisp with a thin tinny quality to it and a light smoothness that almost verges on thinness as this straddles the line between a light and medium body. It improves as it warms and the crispness picks up, then some spicing can be noticed in the finish.

Tastes like a bad ipa and no pumpkin whatsoever.

Called a hoppy pumpkin beer, or pumpkin IPA. Hazy copper, white fizzy head. Head retention lacks a bit, but does leave a few spots of lace.

Caramel, slightly vegetable aroma. Earthy spices, cinnamon, nutmeg. Maybe a hint of citrus.

Earthy, with some caramel malt. Spices come through, especially clove. Earthy bitterness. A nice hint of pumpkin, with some subtle spices as well. Finishes dry.

Medium body, good carbonation. Alcohol is hidden well. What a mix this is, a pumpkin IPA. Pretty easy to drink,, although the cloves stand out a bit much.

12 FL. OZ. stubby bottle
Served in a perfect pint glass

A - It is light orange with golden highlights. It is topped with two inches of beige head.

S - I get a lot of pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.

T - It starts out tasting like a pumpkin ale with a little hop bite. As it warms the hops begins to stand out a lot more. After a couple the hops almost completely dominate the palate.

M - Moderate.

O - I had been reading about pumpkin IPA's on a thread and thought they sounded interesting. Shortly after that I came upon this beer. It is pretty much what I expected from the hopping of a pumpkin ale. I found it seasonally enjoyable.

I thought this was a nice combination of a pumpkin beer and a pale ale. At first it wouldn't seem that pumpkin would pair with hops well but the do here. I quite enjoyed it and could drink several in one night.
