Another cracking tripel, a real looker of a brew in my opinion. A light amber body topped by a decent confident head. That head does stay all the way through quaffing if served in the correct vestibule.

Aroma is a good combination of spice and floral notes, and is unusual to have such equal measures of both bitter and sweet character. This certainly invites you to dive right in and start supping.

Taste follows suit with the aroma, a deep malty initial hit, finishing with a sweet caramel aftertaste, and not too overbearing on either scale.

Goes down a treat, and the alcohol content is bang on the money.

Overall a very good brew, and certainly one to sample if you haven't already.

This beverage has a high quaff-ability factor, and therefore gains several boofs of praise from me!

Poured from bottle to tulip. Golden colored ale with a finger of foam, dissolves to nothing and leaves no lacing. Complex and lovely, woth mingling aromas /flavors of white bread, clove, spices, orange blossom honey, white grapes. And booze.

Poured from 75cl bottle into Stone Brewing Goblet. Cork date of 2015.

L: Hazy orange, sticky finger width white head, incredible lacing.

S: Grainy malt, fruity bouquet, some yeastiness, some spices.

T: Sweet and tart up front, alcohol is very present, lots of fruitiness, oranges, apples and grapes. Bits of honey and yeast. Some phenols.

F: Medium body, smooth, creamy, crisp, quite dry.

O: The third brew from Abbaye de Scourmont and probably my least favorite so far, however this is still and exceedingly good beer. Really a must for any beer geek.

Excellent. Every time I see a bottle I will pick one up. Sure to be a little different bottle to bottle, mostly due to shipping and storage concerns but I've yet to have one I didn't absolutely love. Would highly recommend to anyone who truly loves beer.

L: hazy brownish gold like Apple cider with a creamy foamy head
A: bananas and clove
F: thin and fizzy carbonation, mildly hoppy.
T: bananas, clove, and malt.
O: if I didn't have a bornem triple the night before I may have appreciated this beer a bit more but it seems to be a flat Bornem triple, and yeah i love blue chimay but white just doesn't do it for me. This beer is just okay. It also should be noted that I picked the cork up the next day and cork said 2012, so if it was bottled in 2012 it would explain my rating as I have often heard this beer is best fresh, I guess I'll have to try a fresh one if ever given the opportunity.
