Pour from Growler into Chimay Goblet
Small foam with little lacing
Smells of citrus bitter orange hints o yeast and , celery
Taste of butter, wheat vanilla frosting and blood orange
32 ounces in definitely a nice session, perfect for summer and the beach when the other Chimay's would leave you paralyzed 3 or 4 goblets in. On par with Orval, doesn't quite reach Westvleteren Blonde

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy medium golden pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing.

S: Lemongrass and citrus. Zesty... cut grass/hay.

T/F: Mild sweetness and Belgian yeast... crackery. Herbal... lemongrass and thyme. Effervescent... thin in body, finish is apple skin and cut grass. The flavor rounds out significantly as it warms.

O: A nice light Belgian Pale. Let it warm a bit... solid flavors, and a very easy drinker at 4.8%.

Bright gold with a wonderful creamy silky head. Dry hops with crackers and wheat bread. Wow, the taste is quite unique. Dry wheat grain and oat with bizarre fruity esthers of blueberry and raspberry. The beer finishes creamy of wheat, oats. Light and refreshing with a slight dry finish and a very mild fruity tartness.

Very cool that gold cap now available, I found it at Wegmans. Did not quite come up to Red, its closest cousin, white, or blue - but still very good and in this case sessionable.

A: Pours a very hazy golden yellow body with active visible carbonation and amber highlights. The beer sports a two finger sudsy pillowy white head that slowly reduces to a constant cap and sheets of lace with every tilt of the snifter.

S: At cask temperature, abundant aromas of pale malts with abundant aromas of spicy Belgian yeast and citrus and candied lemon rind.

T: Upfront follows smell with a greater hint of sweetness (orchard ripe apple) with spicy flavors of Belgian yeast and more lemon rind candy. Aspiriny bitterness, white wine astringency cleanses as you finish.

M: Medium bodied, dry aspirin finish, chalky, with lively, scrubbing carbonation.

O: Gets better as it warms even when you start at cask temp. If it was more affordable, I could drink more of these.
