Appearance: Amber in colour with a persistent white head. Beautiful lacing.

Aroma: Rich malts, light yeastiness, light caramel and English hops.

Taste: Roasted malts, raspberries, dried fruits, biscuit, lasting, steady bitterness throughout provided by the hops.

Mouthfeel: Slightly dry, full body, lasting hoppy finish.

Overall: This is probably my favourite cask ale in the UK, highly drinkable and (thankfully) fairly common around the West and North Yorkshire pubs I like to go to!

Timothy Taylor & Co. "Landlord"
cask via handpump @ The Globe, Liverpool, UK

Notes: Crystal clear deep gold/amber with golden highlights. The creamy white head drops to a thin but solid cap. Excellent lacing, leaving veils of spotty lace behind. Aroma: Fruity with apple and soft pear, bread, tea. Flavor: Delicately malty, grainy with just a hint of caramel. Fruity upfront, then a solid bitterness. Leafy, tea-like finish. Medium-light bodied and smooth. Superbly balanced and rounded. Beautiful maltiness, yeasty fruitiness, and hoppiness - all while remaining very mild all around. Massively drinkable, and well worth seeking out for fans of cask ale.
