Pint served by handpump at the Guilford Arms in Edinburgh.
This ale has been brewed to celebrate the 150th year of the Keighley brewery.
A- Dark blonde/copper, with an orangey hue, 2 finger creamy head that disappates relatively quickly leaving a crown. Lacing is ok.
S- Lots of citrus and grapefruit. Some bready malt qualities come through beyond the fruit notes.
T- Lots of grapefruits and heavy hop profile here. floral. As the hop flavours fade, in the finish, a creamy nutty vanilla quality comes through, this lingers nicely.
M- Low carbonation, medium body.
D- A nice strong ale, but a little too much citrus for me, but i can appreciate the flavour complexity.
