Cheap pint can, canned Dec/14 best by Mar/16. Clear gold with thick soapy white head, settles slowly with a light spray of lace down the glass. Smell: lightly bready and floral, grape. Taste: white grape, white nectarine, spicy, a little biscuit, lightly grassy. Sweet tea feel to the finish, not crisp but with decent bitterness. Decent.

Standard German pilsner' think Beck's-like taste.

Poured from 500ml can into 10oz goblet. Poured a very lightly hazy yellow-gold color with about 1/4 inch of white head that had low retention and lacing.

The aroma was mostly grainy, slightly sweet, with some soft, earthy hops in the background. The taste was the same, with the hops having a bit of a brighter presence.

The body was crisp and clean, with a dry finish. Drinkability was very good. Overall, a pretty nice brew, well worth the $2 i spent on it, and a great option for a dog-walking brew. Worth trying if you see it.

11.2 oz. bottle poured into pilsener

L: roasted corn color ... lighter than gold, darker than yellow; minimal head for a pils, 1/2- to 3/4-inch tall stack of white foam; slight sticking, no major lacing; fantastic column of bubbles rising up the center of the column creating a very cool skin of white foam and thick bubbly collar; clarity and color are superb

S: skunk for first minute, then it disappears completely to allow a stark fruitiness to shine through -- at times as fruity as a good English pale; sour grain; lots of lighter malt, almost bready/biscuit malt but for sure at least cracker; very sweet and almost floral

T: follows the nose pretty closely, though the biscuit malt shows up a bit more here in the flavor; very light and fruity ... sweet

F: almost perfect ... light, crisp, easy going down; it feels a bit soft near the end, but overall fantastic

O: not bad at all but it's missing the good green/grassy hop bite the best of the best pilseners offer ... the sweeter fruity taste is very reminiscent of some Dortmunder or Munich Helles lagers I've tried and also some English pale ales, the fruit is almost apricot or peach; not an award winner, but for the price, it has potential for getting into my fridge again

Poured from 500ml can into Sam Adams glass.

Appearance: pours a pillowy white 2" head that drops quickly with a bit of lacing on the glass. Color is a mostly clear golden, with some small sediment in suspension and plenty of streaming bubbles.

Aroma: biscuit and bread dough, with some floral and grassy hops, but both are fairly mild.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied, frothy, slightly chewy, with a pleasant drying finish.

Flavor: toasted bread, biscuit, tangy herbal and floral hops.

Overall: very pleasant, should pair well with most foods, and a terrific session beer.

Wolters Pilsener Premium (green USA bottle) has a thick, frothy, white head, a bubbly, golden appearance, and moderate lacing. The aroma, which was not at all skunked, is of soda cracker and grassy hops. Taste is of sweetness, cracker, and grassy hops. The mouthfeel is medium, and Wolters Pilsener Premium finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. RJT

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow. Fizzly head. Bleach white. Smell is skunky, bready and yeasty. Flavor is the same. A skunky import Pils. Like a slightly more dedicated Stella or Heineken. I have to admit that it is maybe a bit pleasant. Sometimes a green-glass Pils hits the spot. This one did a little bit. Light bodied. Heavy carbonation. Watery. Not much lingering aftertaste. It is what it is.
