A: The beer is crystal clear deep yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high and dense white head.
S: There are light aromas of skunk in the nose (presumably from the green bottle) along with some notes of bready malts.
T: The beer is quite malty and has flavors of toasted and bready malts along with a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: There’s nothing overly special about the taste of this beer but it is quite easy to drink and the mouthfeel seems a little smoother compared to other beers in the style.

L: Pours brilliant orange tinted amber with a 2” slowly receding white foam collar. S: Bready malt aromas with a fine bath lotion floral scent. T: Bready malt and a light earthy spiciness with a mild bitter finish. F: medium light body and medium carbonation. O: A good, easy to drink but not great Oktoberfest beer.

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #69 (October 2012):
Obvious boasts about the German Purity Law, not that it hold much weight these days being globally that is not a standard of a good beer anymore. What we have here is a well brewed but perhaps beat up version of a Märzen. Our educated guesstimate is that this beer is pasteurized and is substantially better right from the source. Decent but not something we’d be looking to fill a liter mug with.
STYLE: Märzen
ABV: 5.0%
AVAILABILITY: Fall seasonal
LOOK: Bright, pale amber, sturdy suds
SMELL: Toasted bread, walnut pith, grape skin, floral hop, mild spice, mineral
TASTE: Moderate sized body, bread crust, mild spice, dried grass, vegtal, herbal, lightly metallic, husky, faint cooked cereal, dry grainy finish

Sampling right now on 5/5/14. Comes in a nice 330ml (11.2 ounce) bottle for $1.79. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a copper-amber in color with almost a finger off-white head. A good amount of lacing was seen as is typical for a good German beer. The aroma is of some yeast and grains. The taste is so much better than expected and very smooth to drink unlike many of the 'Marzen / Oktoberfest' style brews. Goes down very easy with no bitter or harsh aftertaste at all. Perfect carbonation. Overall, a great German brew!
