22oz bottle (packaged 7/30/2024) into a tulip. Pours a not-quite opaque deep brownish black with a thin khaki head.
Aroma is deep, rich, and complex with notes of chocolate, bitter malt, and espresso. Vanilla and caramel notes. Pretty strong bourbon presence too.
Taste is likewise balanced and complex with a nice boozy heat taking center stage. Dark bitter chocolate, roasty malt, charred oak, vanilla, caramel.
Mouthfeel is medium/heavy bodied, slick, coating with a lingering aftertaste.
Overall a solid barrel aged imperial stout and an excellent value at $10.

Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering three quarters of the rim. Light, soapy lacing is present. There’s aroma is of bourbon, vanilla, and chocolate. I’m tasting bourbon, vanilla, dark malt, and chocolate. The mouth is warm with alcohol and sticky.

Dark brown pour, nice khaki head leaves a nicely laced glass. Snot machine enjoys the chocolatey aroma, there's a bit of coffee, but the barrel didn't show up. Taste buds get the bourbon right away, then roasted grains, coffee and a hint of chocolate. The beer is thin for the style, it's nicely carbonated, what's not to like!

Appearance - Dark mahogany body with tan head
Smell - oak, roasted malts, dark chocolate
Taste - dark chocolate, oak, caramel
Mouthfeel - medium bodied, medium carbonation, strong oak flavors upfront, dark chocolate follows behind that
Overall - decent interpretation of a barrel aged imperial stout, although I do find the finish to be unrefined. The barrel is out too far in front of any other flavors for the beer to be considered top notch. Mouthfeel is thinner than the style warrants. At the price point, worth a shot.
Price Point -$9.99/ 22oz bottle

Great pour. Lots of carbonation, good dark rich brown color, with lighter head that slowly dissipated.
Nothing really on the nose.
Smooth, mouthfeel is pretty good blend of thin/thick. Not too thin, certainly not heavy. Good flavor overall.
Very good beer, good price.
