Meadows is a great craft beer source in the Farmington area. The inside is clean, well-lit, and kept in order. They have an extensive selection of craft beer from all over the U.S., plus good selection of Michigan beer. I believe they have a good selection of Belgians, but to be honest, that's not my cup of tea so I've never really explored it. They also have a very good selection of singles- about half of them in the cooler.
The owner (Jeff) is very friendly and knowledgeable of craft beer. This is a good place to be a regular, as Jeff is very accommodating with setting aside special releases if you call or stop in ahead of the release.

Visited Meadows on 2/28/12 for the first time, after working so close for over 3 years to this establishment. Pointed in their direction after visiting Kuhnhenns brewery by the bartender after sampling their goods. I later checked here (Ba) of course to read other reviews so i didnt waste my time.
Overall: selection on craftbeer was great. Had all the good beers i have came to enjoy on my travels. Had a vast selection of most MIchigan breweries. Your dogfish, rouge, southern tier and so on... I was told by the staff if you dont see something ask and i will see what we can do. Seemed knowledgable and excited to talk to a new customer about great craft beer.
I will re visit this store again due to overall experience and selection. As a side note if it matters to some, the store was very clean and organized

I found out about this place through a friend and in my quest to find some BCBS. I talked to two gentleman, one who was very knowledgable and seems very helpful on the floor - he definitely knew his craft beer. Then there was another gentleman behind the counter who I wasn't too fond of. He appeared to overcharge two people I had sent up there to get BCBS however when I went in there, he charged me a lower price for the bottle as I appeared to know what I was talking about. I'm always leary about these types of stores. He held a bottle of BCBS for me over the phone and then when I arrived mentioned he didn't recognize me, thought I was someone else and almost was going to back-out on selling me the bottle.
As far as selection, they did appear to have a wide-array of craft beers. Judging from the prices of the singles, they seemed to be marked up quite a bit more than my local shops in Royal Oak. However for that area, it could be one of the best selections so paying more is something you just have to deal with.

I have recently found this store through some friends. The owners are great. Todd and Jeff are very helpful. They have a great selection of beer. I have been able to get some great rareties from them. Todd has been especially heplful as fellow beer lover. He even provided me with a wine shipper so that I could make a beer trade. They do not mark up beer like many other local establishments do. Also, they are very well informed. Both Todd and Jeff love great beer and know what they are talking about. I have made this my favorite local store.

Meadows is my go-to-store in the Farmington Hills Area.
Todd and Jeff are great guys, and they keep the shelves filled with the latest releases.
They have a large selection of bombers and six packs.
They have a nice cooler of singles that aren't just old random dusty bottles, they are hand picked variety of great beers (have found singles of Dog Fish Head Burton Baton), they also even keep some nice bombers in the cooler (just got a cold Southern Tier Creme Brule).
I am in it only for the beer, but Meadows has a very nice selection of wines and liqour as well.

Meadows Fine Wine is a liquor, beer and wine store located on the west side of Farmington Rd. between 8 and 9 Mile Rds. in Farmington Hills [MI]. The store is newly remodeled. They stock [on shelves and in coolers] a large selection of micro/craft and imports. You can "build" your own 6 packs ["mix & match"] from a selection of over 100 cold singles making it easy to try new brews. Numerous "Bombers" are also available. For the wine lovers I am told they have over 2,500 wines in stock including 1500 bottles in a temperature controlled wine cellar.
Meadows carry good quality brands. They have a very good selection of MICHIGAN BREWERS; Arcadia, Arbor, Atwater, Bells, Dark Horse, Dragonmead, Founders, Michigan New Holland Shorts, etc. Other out-of-state Brewers; Allagash, Brooklyn, Dog Fish, Flying Dog, Goose Island, Lagunitas, Magic Hat, Sam Adams, Shiner, Sierra Nevada, Stone, Tommy Knocker, Victory, etc. Some German examples are; Hacker Pschorr, Weihenstephaner, etc. A sampling of their Belgian offerings are; Chimay, Duvel, Hoegaarden, St. Bernardus, Trappistes Rocherfort, and Westmalle Trappistes. Various other brands; Unibroue, Samuel Smith, Lion, and even the sometimes hard to get Thomas Hardy etc.
Jeff, [one of the owners] was very helpful and knowledgeable about his offerings. He offered to order any brand they didn't stock. He said they are presently in the process of increasing their [already good] variety.
Meadows has a ½ page ad in the Michigan Beer Guide November-December 2009 issue that does a good job in representing their store. You can also find information about the store on their facebook page. If you are in the area, it is worth a visit. I sure will be going back!!
