Very Good
Notes: The amazing taste of peanut butter from a spoon has long been thought of as the peak of taste bud euphoria. That was before you got your paws on Wet Snout Peanut Butter Stout. Smooth and creamy peanut butter blends perfectly with chocolate and malt notes for a treat like no other.

Picked up a single from TW Arrowhead in early June for $1.99. Received at TW on 5/23/16. Canning info is cryptic: 14016 8/9 but the beer has been housed in the beer fridge since purchase.

Beer poured black with a head that dissipated quickly.

Nose is peanut butter forward, a promise of things to come.

Taste is uneven, chocolate malt base combined with too much peanut butter and not enough hops leads up to an overly sweet beer.

Mouthfeel is light and too thin for the style.

Overall this is a bit disappointing. Too thin and too sweet are not desirable in a stout.

Didn’t taste any peanut butter really which was kind of a letdown. For a stout this was actually rather light. Pretty refreshing and not too filling. Went well with cheese curds. Would get a 12 pk. Downfall, tastes a little like cleaning fluid.

Dark brown almost black in the glass, momentary fizzy tan foam.
Smells like tootsie rolls, carob, cocoa powder, ashy roast, vague peanut butter.
Tastes like chocolate soda and stale peanuts. Tart astringency, a bit harsh and unpleasant.
Thanks Wayne for this one, won't be buying any of these.

"Bark by:" 02-27-19 stamped on the bottom of the 12 ounce can:

Pours pitch black with a thin lasting tan head. Lacing sticks. A nice looking stout.

The smell is of strong peanut butter with chocolate. Robust.

The taste is of strong peanut butter and milk chocolate. Sweetness balanced by lactose and some roast in the finish.

The body approaches full - but stays in medium. Pretty smooth!

A nice, pleasant, unique novelty brew. The combo of peanut butter and chocolate works well here.

Taste: dry roasted peanuts, semi sweet peanut butter, chocolate malt, maltose. Nice big aroma of dry roasted peanuts, and peanut butter. Brownish black hue, mostly opaque, tan head with some lace. Medium to full body. Tasty dessert stout. 25 IBUs

Not entirely sure this review is in the correct place, but the can label calls it "Peanut Butter Milk Stout", however ABV is the same and I think this review is in the right place.

12oz can into a pint glass
Canning #’s: 14016 8/9

A: Opaque, black, browning on the edges, small light tan head, no lacing. 4

S: Huge, huge peanut butter aroma. Very nutty, lots of milk chocolate, cream. Not a lot of complexity but a fantastic aroma. 4.75

T: Taste is pretty good but doesn’t live up to the aroma. It is very nutty, but not as much like peanut butter as the nose. Lots of lactose like cream. Decent amount of roasty notes. 4

M/D: Creamy, smooth, low carbonation, decent drinkability. 4

O: Overall a nice beer, that does a good job of accepting the peanut butter characters. Killer aroma, but the taste doesn’t quite live up. Definitely worth a drink. 4

Thanks, kerry4porters!

Pours a very dark brown color. The head is a finger high and khaki in shade. Fizzy in texture, the retention is horrible, leaving almost nothing in seconds. Naturally, no lacing sticks to the glass.

This aroma is almost straight-up Reese's peanut butter cup. Plenty of chocolate and plenty of peanut butter come through, as does a hint of lactose cream. While simple, it's an interesting (and frankly intoxicating) nose...but will it come across as artificial tasting it? Sweet Baby Jesus smells great, and tastes chemical, so we'll see.

Actually, peanut butter isn't the dominating flavor, nor is it as artificial-tasting as Sweet Baby Jesus. It opens up with both the peanut butter and some lactose cream. The back end has nice levels of dark chocolate, caramel, and even a touch of stone fruit. It does seem a bit chaotic, but the flavors generally come together in a pleasing manner.

Very well attenuated, but the feel doesn't seem bitter or harsh. It is, however, a bit firmer in feel than I'd like it to be. Drinkability is excellent, though (a feature aided by the fairly assertive carbonation).

Warts and all, I like this one. It doesn't go overboard with chemical peanut butter flavors, and is easy to drink. Plus, it's better than the local Maryland "staple" Sweet Baby Jesus. I don't know if I'd willingly seek this out again, but I'll have no problem drinking another if it's offered to me.

3.51/5: Huh, a peanut butter stout that actually sort of works!

Tasted in a snifter from draft at O'Toole's on December 18, 2018. Smooth and creamy peanut butter blends with chocolate and malt notes. A little too sweet for my tastes.

I'm not sure where I got this can of beer but I'm happy it ended up in my fridge. It poured an opaque dark with ecru head that is leaving some lace. The scent had milk cocoa and nutty highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with milk chocolate base and peanut accents. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.
