750ml bottle into a teku. 11 years in the bottle.
Looks nice in the glass. Clear deep red wine colored body. Small bubbly head disappears quickly, no lacing.
Very mild aroma. Dark fruit, a little tart.
On tasting, very smooth, mild and delicate. All the flavors are there, sweet, tart, sour, but nothing lasts. Thing is, the overall taste is extremely drinkable, and very enjoyable.
Mouth above medium, finish a mild short lived fruity sour tartness.
Overall, if you like your sours leaning toward vinegar and those that pucker your mouth inside out, this may not be for you. Personally, it was a clean, flavorful easy drinking sour, and I enjoyed it.

2011 Vintage served 11/28/2020.
Believe beer has passed prime but still had some remarkable qualities. While beer was a soft medium dark brown with little head or lacing retained... it was nicely clear and a beautifully rich cherrywood red when exposed to sun light. The nose was complex but a bit old and a bit too much oak. Still retained pit fruit, leather, vanilla and molasses within the wood. Tastes mirrors nose with added tartness, more pronounced dark cherry and a pleasant astringency. Body was light but not too thin. Still some creaminess. Again astringency was notable but not harsh or distracting from an otherwise smooth sipper.
Very nice beer that probably would have been exceptionally good had it been tried a few years ago.

Look: Clear, very dark brown/amber color with a nice head and decent lacing.
Smell: Sour cherry, oak, and funk.
Taste: Taste is similar to the smell. Cherry, oak, and funk.
Feel: Light carbonation, sour.
Overall: This beer is nice. I had it a few days after the New Belgium La Folie, which I slightly prefer.

Minimal head production and similarly short life. Brew is a lovely dark brown, clear and garnet at the edges.
Nose is redolent, carrying thick oak notes, tannins, flowers, wine, vinegar, brown sugar, and prunes. Very light funk, hinting at hay, dirt, and mushrooms.
Flavor is both sour and earthy, leaning toward the tartness of unripe fruit rather than the sharpness of pure vinegar. Rich tannins and oak; raisins and prunes; plump red grapes; dark wheat grains, sweetened with a hint of brown sugar and pineapple juice. Wonderfully complex and rich, yet somehow light and delicate; an absolute delight.
Not quite puckering in its sourness, although it comes close. Smooth and oily feel.
I've never had a Rodenbach aged on oak I didn't find fantastic, and this vintage is no exception. Complex, rich, and with an impressive depth of character, enjoying this brew is a rewarding experience.
2011 vintage enjoyed in 2017.

750mL bottle poured into a Teku glass
A: Pours a ruby color with a brown tinge and a one-finger head
S: Sour cherry, wine grapes, vinegar
T: Sour cherry, off-dry white wine, a bit of Sprite and hints of yeast/vinegar
M: Tart up front, sweet on the finish
O: Quite tasty. Age (both in the barrel and after release) has treated it well. Can age further. A touch sweeter than I'd like but the light-medium acidity balances it

2011 vintage; drank 7/13/14 @ the Kid's.
Poured from the bottle into a glass.
Plum murkiness.
Minimal off-white head; minimal lace.
Tart cherry nose with a hint of booze heat.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Tart cherry up front; sweet cheery on the lips after this warms. Simple but effective.

Not much of a cork pop or a head. Dark brown red body. Smells sour, tastes sourer. Lots if just yummy vanilla & oak flavors. An excellent balance of sour, salty, vanilla, wood & malt. Another typically excellent sour from Rodenbach

750ml corked and caged bottle poured into pint glass
A: almost no head whatsoever dirty brown red hue with a slightly hazy body.
S: wine grapes, vinegar, oak, apples, maybe a little cherry
T: nice wine taste grapes, cherries, maybe very light vinegar slight apple lots of oak barrel a little bit of a musty taste
M: very soft, carbonation is almost non existent almost no bitterness makes it seem like drinking a wine
O: This beer has such a nice flavor. Its got a nice wine oak flavor the soft carbonation I am not as crazy about, but otherwise it is a great beer.

Served at Frankenmuth's World Expo of Beer 2016.
Perfectly sour/tart with fruits, yeast, bread, vinegar, a bit of dark fruit... not much to say other than that there's a reason this stuff is so sought after. See it, buy it, enjoy it.
