Undated 12 oz bottle served in a goblet. And on tap in April 2016.

Pours with a medium amber body that has excellent clarity and a durable, creamy head.

Some mildly sweet malty flavor up front before an ample hop load kicks in. A moderate bitterness with earthy hop flavors lingers on the palate after a crisp and dry finish.

O: recommended for hop heads, although not as fruity as I prefer.

Darker shade of yellow in color. Clear. Forms a modest off white head. Good retention. Light lacing. Aroma is bready and earthy. Some pine and, as it warms, a bit of green apple. Taste is similar. Lots of toast. Quite earthy, a bit of pine, then some bread. A little caramel compliments the earthy character. Medium bodied. Moderate astringent bitterness. Appropriate carbonation. A IPA in the old school american style. Not my personal preference, but not a terrible beer.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on February 3, 2014.

The pour is golden to light copper with a decent but short-lived head. Reasonably good clarity.

The aroma is very mellow which is how I like my IPA's really with its earthy hop and fruity character. Not explosive by any stretch of the imagination but pleasing on the senses.

The body is around medium but very smooth.

The taste is just as low profile as the aroma suggests with a mellow hop character, a decent caramel note, and an astringent bitterness at the finish. Lingers quickly but fades but it is memorable.

22 ounce bomber -> Dogfish Head Glass

A - Pours up a clear gold without much of a head. What head there is lingers for awhile, and there is some leftover lacing.

S - not much on the nose. Mostly a fresh grassy smell

T - fairly well balanced between malt and hops with a slightly perceptible alcohol note on the finish.

M - lingering bitter mouthfeel, good carbonation.

O - not too bad, taste is the best part fortunately.
