Poured from a 22oz bottle into a pint glass, the beer poured a tan/yellow (almost a copper color) with a solid two fingers of fluffy off-white foam. The aroma is interesting and pleasantly surprising (only because I had never heard of this brewery before purchasing the bottle) a nice blend of lemon, grapefruit (slight), orange, light malts, and pine. The taste was also presently surprising, the flavor were a lot strong than they were in the aroma. A lot of lemon zest, grapefruit, and orange mixed with a grassy and malt base topped off with a nice dank hoppy flavor. Very well balance west coast IPA, not overly bitter or chewy and kept a consistent flavor profile and mouth feel the entire way through the beer. Overall the was an exciting find for me as it was a brewery that I have never heard of (being an east coaster) and realizing they are located very near where I am staying for the next 6 weeks while in LA (will definitely be paying them a visit).

Hazy yellowish copper color with not much of a head. The aroma is pleasantly hoppy but quite mild. I was expecting more. Taste is piney, slightly citrusy and has some definite hop bitterness.
I like that the malt backbone of this beer is subtle as this is perfect for showcasing a blend of hops and delivering a broad spectrum of delicious hoppy characteristics. That being said there is not enough depth to the hoppy characteristics of this particular beer to merit this and as a result the beer is somewhat bland. It's lacking particularly in flavor but also in aroma. Overall this is no masterpiece of a beer but it is an entirely drinkable brew, even quite enjoyable if it's a nice, fresh bottle. I will buy it again to support an LA brewery.
