Received this from Tmoney in a blind BIF and shared with three others around the campfire. Poured mine into me ever-trusty town hall brewery Libby glass. The beer pours a thin brown with medium head and lame lacing. The smell is pretty weak, with a minimal hint of chocolate. The taste is average at best and nothing particular stands out. It really has very little flavor at all. It almost tastes as though it has been watered down. The mouthfeel is that of a beer I drank copious amounts of in college (Prior Double Dark) . Dark in color, light in flavor. The overall rating on this beer. Average

Served in a pokal at the brewpub.

Yeah, I got the thin pour, but it's still a good amount of beer in my glass, so I couldn't care less what you people think of me. (So judgmental...) It pours a clear dark russet topped by a half-finger of light ecru micro-foam. The nose is pretty weak, offering only some faint hints of cocoa and flowers. Anything else is too faint for me to pick up in these surroundings. The taste is of light coffee, some toffee, and a touch o' rye bread. The body is a very light medium, with a moderate carbonation and a nearly dry finish. Overall, an average brown in most respects, but a rather easy quaff (a common trait amongst these Lucky Monk brews).

Thanks to TMoney2591 for sharing FTT

This pours a clear darkish brown color with light off white foam. The aroma is akin to citrus and banana though both extremely weak, it's still off for the style. There are some chocolate roast notes if you do digging, or it could be my mind. The taste is just weird for a brown ale. The clove banana taste is pretty common throughout, it's not unpleasant, it's just odd. The flavors remind me more of sweet floral essence than the toffee aromas which may or may not be hiding in the back of the tongue. The aftertaste has the caramel, toffee flavor, but that's the only place. The carbonation is good, but the drinkability is suspect with the odd sweetness that this beer has. A confusing brown ale to say the least.
