A 750ml corked and caged bottle, 2017 vintage, with a best before date of July 2040. Poured into a De Cam stemmed glass.

Appearance: A lightly hazy golden orange colour with a very thin white head that disappeared almost immediately while leaving only sparse lacing.

Aroma: Funky, nectarines, peach, apricot, vanilla yoghurt, oak, dusty, with a hint of lemon zest.

Taste: Light sour, tart, nectarines, peach, yoghurt, olive oil, lemon zest, oak, funky, barnyard.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Overall: Easy drinking with nice aroma, flavours and good funky notes. It lacked carbonation though, and I definitely thought it needed some.

S: Floral, sour-ish. This floral scent reminds of toilet...

T: Sour, fruity.

F: Medium bodied, nicely flavored, quite smooth.

O: Decent tasting sour with a bad smell.

Bottle from Etre
Mostly clear medium gold in color with a smattering of white fluffy bubbles even with a vigorous pour. Peachy nectarine nose with moderate earthy funk. Lemony tartness with bits of fruit and earth. Light gritty mouthfeel, tart tasty beverage.

Foggy burnt gold with a short khaki head that fizzles out quickly. No additional sediment spills out at full pour--I'm finding across the board that I don't need a basket for these de Cams--even in spite of a clearly visible smear inside the horizontally stored bottle--which is nice.

The main throughline in all these de Cams is that lambic oak and funk come first, while the fruit comes second, which here is lightly peppery with peachy-orange accents.

The mouthfeel is great, and acidity well balanced--it's just a super drinkable, prickly lambic with a mild but tasty fruit presence.

The nectarine does, though, shine on the nose, all fresh and fleshy, herbal and bright.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color lambic with no carbonation. Aroma of sour notes with some oak, funky barnyard notes with subtle nectarine notes. Taste is also a mix of sour notes with some subtle nectarine notes, some oak, barnyard funk with light acidic notes. Body is about average with no carbonation. Enjoyable lambic even though nectarine notes don’t come out as much as I was expecting.

Bottom line is that there is a mild lambic funk and mustiness on the nose and palate, but the palate is mainly the nectarine juice that hits on the backend. The body is lighter medium, a bit undercarbonated, but the nectarine flavours hit the tongue halfway through and set up camp, giving out waves and waves of yummy nectarine flavours. Mild acetic tartness, light funk, medium-lighter body and carbonation.

750ml bottle 23 Euros. bright yellow color. Aroma has some sweet nectarines in the back. They are also present in the flavor but subtle. The base lambic is pretty sour or my tastes. Interesting but not one I will revisit.
