Bottle shared at Klooster. Murky ruby with no head. Notes of cherries, macerated cherries and sherry, lambic funk. Very tart, lactic, with only a hint of sweetness. Medium body, low carbonation and a tart finish.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass. Vintage 2009. Ok, not great, pop off the cork when opening.

Slight ruby red color but with an opaque rusted edge, through the light looks like thick bright blood. Minimal carbonation and pink head creation which dissolves pretty quickly, leaving not a trace of a collar. Not much of a noticeable middle column of carbonation either.

Pretty distinct aroma. Soft and large juiced cherry fruit note, like the skin has just burst. Small hinting sweetness of maraschino, but lots of dry earth and practically muddy soil notes to go along with it. The cherry and fruit notes though dominate with huge juicy quality, which is a real pleasure, but that lingering earth in the back has a big kick.

Palate manages a bit of a minor dud. Very flattened body and surprisingly quite wet as well. Tilled earth and soil notes with a mild sharp heat and funk. Wonderful cherry flavor but practically comes off a bit watered down, with maybe a bit of mineral prickly feel just barely. Slight vinegar notes, and a bit of malt sweetness as well interestingly on the finish.

Not exactly a total loss, but definitely lacking noticeably by a very disappointing mouthfeel and malt depth.

Bottle #6 in the De Cam tasting. Pours the color and clarity of cranberry juice with no head. Nose expresses medicinal cherries akin to cough syrup. Taste follows nose; however, it all comes off soft and not overly medicinal. Mouthfeel is light in body with a lively carbonation. All and all, a solid kriek - not my favorite thus far; however, it has quite a bit of complexity and dimension.
