Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Not a gusher. Appearance is clear or cloudy (depending on what you do with the yeast sediment), with a billowing head. Moderately high funk factor with leather, oak tannins, sour lemon acidity, yeastiness (like from a good champagne), bread dough, and a touch of apple/pear sweetness. Fizzy mouthfeel, but not thin or light. Overall it's a great gueuze.

The classically light amber body is just barely foggy, and builds a deceptively short, off-white head that loudly and unevenly fizzles out to a thin fuzzy collar vibrating with an actively lifting fizz underneath.

A spritz from the effervescent surface tickles the nose while working fervently to also froth up the body like a more delicately fluffy sort of champagne, delivering to the palate crisply tart pear and plum that rub shoulders with a sort of pleasantly herbal light oak and funk that bloom in the exhale.

It doesn't look that active but it feels so insanely fizzy & lifting, frothing up immensely & transforming the acidity into a fruitiness surprisingly not unlike strawberry pie filling before the semi-dry finish cleanly vanishes. A light touch of cracker emerges as it warms, but actually, overall, this gueuze is a little sweeter than is typical for the style.

Bottle from Etre Gourmet, served at home in a flute glass. Pours a hazy pale colour, enormous head with medium retention. Great lacing.
Aroma is wild, barnyard, bretts, leather, stalk, hints of yoghourt and blue cheese, fruity esters of pears and apples.
Medium body, earthy texture, active carbonation. Funky finish.
Taste follows the aroma.
Top class beer.

Pours a clear, golden amber coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smell is dominated by quite musty, earthy, sweaty funk and some fruity esters of green apple and apricot, as well as some wet grass, oak and doughy malt. Taste is an excellent balance of light doughy, sweet'ish malt, some profound musty, sweaty, earthy funk with hints of blue cheese and mushrooms and strong, fruity and slighty spicy yeast esters of green apple, pear, apricot, gooseberry and clove, with the apricot standing out particularly here, as well as some wet grass and a good oak presence. Finishes with a mild tartness and some funk, oak and fruity apricot and goosberry esters lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

This is a world-class Geuze that really impresses with its very strong, complex and nuanced funkiness, as well as some vibrant fruity esters and a good oak presence to round things out, while it may be little less tart and acidic than other examples of the style. One of the funkiest "standard" Geuzes I've had, reminding me a lot of 3F Oude Geuze. While it may be just a touch more sweet than I usually prefer, it turns more dry towards the finish, with a very good light/medium acidity and profound funkiness, making for a fantastic overall balance with a rich complexity.

Slightly hazy golden with a huge white head.
It's not a particularly funky nor sour gueuze but it's quite balanced. Some citric notes, some cereal notes.
Smooth mouthfeel

2018 vintage; drank 12/27/19 @ Elastic Arts.

This was a FUNK BOMB when opened; horse blanket for days. However, as it opened up a fruity undercurrent emerged. Nice!
