Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie...
Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Good IPA at a very reasonable price. Smell and taste are the same. Not overwhelmingly hoppy but enough to satisfy a hop head like me. Would buy again for sure

@ Sky Harbor. Golden pour, foamy white head. Nose is pine and citrus, muted.
Taste is lime with zest, pine, stone fruit, light kilned malt. Medium mouthfeel. Finish has citrusy nip, with a zesty resin note. Balanced beer.

this is somewhat middling, but so is four peaks in my limited experience, this is just my sixth beer ever from them, but ive yet to really be moved. walked about five miles through the phoenix airport to get to their outpost there, had this on tap from a crabby bartender, rough start, but i know they are airport employees not four peaks employees, at least i think thats the case. anyhow, the beer is fine, tastes like countless others, old school and maltier than its color suggests, more bitter than flavorful from the hops, balanced and decent, but also not anything too inspiring either. pretty to look at, with better than an inch of off white head of tiny bubbles and a nice rich golden clarity to it. there is a bitter crispness in aroma and flavor that pushes through the malt, which i like in an ipa of course, and i like the bitter linger without this being too oily or anything on the palate. the grain is fresh to me, crystal malt and a honey note to it, cereal forward and kind of basic, medium body to it, kind of feels halfway to imperial in a sense, a sturdy base. the hops have some grassy character in the aroma but end up a bit piney in the flavor, a middle climax to the hops with a slow fade to bitterness, a trace of oxidation tinting this metallic a little as it warms even though elements of it still present as very fresh, not uncommon. some dankness, some grapefruit, quite northwestern really. smooth and a little richer but with good carbonation, some late snap, faint hop burn, mild vegetal linger, a copper thing, bitter orange, robust without being unique. more or less par for the course, certainly not worth 14 bucks in the airport, but very few beers are, i think it at least justified the walk...

Thick, off-white head and a semi-clear, bubbly, orange-gold appearance, with minimal lacing. Aroma of citrusy hop resins and white bread crust. Medium body. Dry finish.

Draft at PHX location. Medium golden, small thin head leaves film across the glass. Lazy carbonation, heavy weight. The rest is pretty much standard IPA, actually kind of mild. Not great, but better than most airport options.

Color is that of clear amber Anda bubble head with some retention.
Citrus, I get oranges.
Grapefruit rind and orang zest in the taste, pine notes.
Has balance, good carbonation and a light to medium feel.
At 18 $ per 15 pk it's worth buying more from time to time e.

New looking can then what's here. Pale orange, clear nice Rocky white head with great lace.
Aroma is is light fruity/floral with some make sweetness. Not very hoppy more pale ale like or a clear hazy.
Tastes is sweet malts light hops floral and fruity on malt sweetness. Putting West Coast IPA on the can is about a lie, or maybe it's the least hoppy a west coast style can get.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp even with carbonation being mellow.
Overall not an IPA maybe a nice sweet lightly hoppy pale ale.
