This is my favorite liquor store in town. I wish they had a better selection of craft brews, but they've been expanding over the past few years. The owner, and all employees, are very friendly and knowledgeable about what goes in the store. Nothing gets shelf space unless it's been tested.

Sad that I moved across town from Betcha.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LIQUOR STORE!!! I have been purchasing alcohol for 5 years and this was absolutely THE WORST experience I have ever had in ANY STORE that I have been to! I was shocked at how rude the OWNER of this establishment was. I first walked in looking at bottles behind the counter (mind you I have my cell phone to my ear) kindly I asked for one and the cashier begins to ring me out. The asshole owner (who is sitting off to the side on a chair) rudely says to me, "can you put your phone down while checking out" so i said, sure...He then continues to ask me, "well don't you think thats rude??!!" I simply, i just think its weird but okay. He then explains one should not be on the phone while purchasing liquor so they are paying full attention to what their doing...??? SERIOUSLY? I have never heard such a thing, but whatever! then i turn to see the sign they have written on a shelf where you have to look away from the counter to see it. The cashier continues to check me out, then the CUSTOMER behind me starts going in on me telling me, "well dont you know its illegal"...Illegal for what??? for me to be on my phone? So after all was finished with the transaction I go to leave and before I get to the door the OWNER began to cuss at me! Using the F word saying, "its the end of the F*%king day...blah blah blah" all I know is he was cussing at a PAYING customer, harassing me and allowing the customer to harass me as well!!!
I am in shock to be treated this way, regardless of some stupid sign over a cell phone. Do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment as they obviously have NO respect and harass their customers. I have been there before, but WILL NEVER GO BACK, and will continue to share my horrible experience with others. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! I AM DISGUSTED! THERE SHOULD BE NEGATIVE SIGN STARS AND I WOULD DO A -5 RATING!

Betcha liquor (on first entrance) seems rather like any other larger neighborhood liquor store. However, there are a few aspects of the store that set it apart. The major one for beer drinkers is a fine selection of "mix and match" single bottles. These are not necessarily specialty beers, but instead they are six-packs that have been disassembled and can then be reassembled for something like $10.00. In my opinion, that is a pretty good deal, especially considering that some of them would be $9.00 in a regular six pack. I have bought a couple of these mix and match deals, and the beer is often slightly expired, so that is a potential snag in the offer. Otherwise, the store is typical (with some micros, local beers, and imports). The service has been very friendly on every occasion that I have visited, so that is another reason to shop at this store if you are looking for the usual beers and live in the area.
