draught
Medium light amber, with some orange, in the look. Sweet spiced, candied grapefruit peel, with a little mixed tropical fruit syrup, to the aroma. Moderate grapefruit peel, with some medium toast malt, to the taste.

i liked pretty much all the hoppy stuff here at peace tree, and this ipa spiked with grapefruit is nice for the oncoming warmer weather, with all kinds of fleshy and rindy fresh grapefruit in the aroma and flavor, but not as bitter as some of the other ones were in here. its not all the way clear from the tap but not murky or gross either, with a short and short lived white head but an amazing aroma of natural grapefruit, super forward, ahead of the hops for me, which i dont often love in fruited beer billed as ipa, but it works here, some bitterness from the peel bringing out the hops, which have some grapefruit character of their own it seems. these can go one of two ways, fruity and sweet or natural and bitter, and im glad this is the latter, still way in front of the hops, but refreshing in a beer that doesnt drink all that light for what it is. i didnt get the chance to try the no coast without the fruit so its tough to compare, but for all the citrus added ipa types out there right now that underwhelm, this one is pretty good, got me feeling summery!

L (4) - Nice clear, orange colored beer. Don't recall a whole lot of head retention.
S (4.25) - Definitely get the grapefruit smell here. A little bit of hop aroma, but mostly citrus.
T (4) - Tastes like an IPA with unsweetened grapefruit juice! More at the end, though. Surprisingly pleasant and quite refreshing, really.
F (4) - Not particularly thick or thin in the body. Proper amount of carbonation
O (4) - I admittedly do not like fruit beers, and am not in love with Peace Tree beers. But I branched out and liked this one. The grapefruit wasn't overwhelming and made for a refreshing drink. I don't know if I need to drink this one again, but I'm happy I tried it.
