This is a really good drinking beer. It is never a bad option. It has a good mix of sweet but not as much as one may assume for a beer with honey in its name. It's targeted for a wide audience of beer drinkers.

tap

Pours a clear maple golden brown, white sudsy lacing for a head.

Maple, honey, and biscuit all come through in the aroma with a slight woody undertone.

Flavor of bready malts with a bit of honey, a little papery, and a woody finish.

Medium body with a sting of carbonation on the tongue.

Fairly good brown ale, easy to drink, a bit bland on the flavor. Nothing bad but not especially memorable.

Great color, no head retention, passable drinkable flavor of steady malt with a noticeable honey sweetness. Would be great paired with food; misses the flavor to be a 'drinking beer'.

Pours a nice brown with ruby highlights and a tan head.

Smells of sweet grain, backed by floral and herbal hops with a touch of honey.

Taste is toasted bread and sweet malt with a bitter herbal hop bite. It has a honey mead character in the dry finish. This is a solid brown ale with honey as an accent and not the main course.

12 ounce bottle served into a 10 ounce nonic glass.

It's light brown with a golden hue in the body and has a fizzy white head. It looks light for a brown color-wise, almost more like a soda. 3.75

The aroma is sweet, pungent, with a touch of honey, yeast, and caramel. 3.75

There's a nutty quality here and sweetness that I wouldn't identify with honey but doesn't necessarily feel like the product of just malts. Light toasted malt feel and a glazing of caramel add some complexity. 3.25

The thin body is a bit bothersome as is the fizzy-feel. It's a bit too soda-like maybe and occasionally even offers a Dr. Pepper taste and feel. But the flip side to this is that it is nice and easy drinking and lingers with a sweet nuttiness. Floral yeast mid-body becomes more noticeable with some warmth to the beer. Not bad, but also not far off from a Newcastle or something of that ilk. 3.25

Decent intro beer or lawnmower beer or something along those lines.

Pours a hazy brown amber with a tan head that quickly disappears , leaving minimal side glass lace.
Not much in the nose, perhaps some faint burnt malts, earth and musty long sitting rag pile.
Love Brown Ales but this has little to offer. Way too sweet for my liking. Low carbonation.
The best before date is 90 days old, but doubt that that fact alone has made this brew so unappetizing..

This is my first beer from this brewery. Served in a shaker pint at World of Beer in Birmingham, AL>.

The beer is a chill hazed brown with a sticky tan head.

The beer has a nose of malts, apples and something sweet, maybe it's the honey.

The beer is on the sweeter end of the spectrum. Lightly toasted malts, sweet brown bread and honey.

The mouth is pleasant with a bit of heft.

I liked it but wouldn't session it as it is too sweet.

Pours a clear light brown color with off-white head. Caramel malt and a weird floral note on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes sweet and floral.

Tasted nothing like a brown ale. Had a hoppy bite.

Not very hoppy at all. Introduction is light and energetic, though not much linger. The finish is somewhat stronger where smokey notes play mid-tongue. The honey is downplayed which is good, I was expecting the sweetness to overpower the palette. The stark bubble works well with the light, almost crispness.
