The blood oranges gave this blonde ale a darker then usual color. It was a very refreshing beer with those oranges for natural citrus sweetness. I would serve this up at a summer BBQ.

draft at the Brewery tap room, served in a shaker pint glass.

appears a cloudy hazy straw color, with bone-white head. starting with the smell, there is no hiding that this beer was brewed with blood oranges. Very pleasant orange aroma.

taste is a nice balance of light malt and the citrus orange flavor. fairly dry finish. thin body and crisp carbonation make it an easy drinker.

overall, a good summer seasonal, definitely thirst quenching.

- brewed with blood oranges. 4.5%

A: Golden pour gradually turns to a tangerine orange with a dense clarity. A dirty white thin spongy-bubbly topping is quick to dissipate. The coloring is real nice, no lace with some visible suspended protein material.

S: Freshly peeled oranges, tangerines, with some distinguishable pink grapefruit. The strength is medium per style quite nice.

T: Im guessing the blood oranges is what i'm mistakening for pink grapefruit. Lightly tart, dry, citrus-grapefruit pulp. Very breakfast like drink, lightly dry and tart finish.

M: Feels like wheat backed, good substance wise, high attenuation, lightly dry and tart with a calming carbonation.

O: Overall very light abv of 4.5% and grapefruit juice like flavor makes this a perfect breakfast drink. The alcohol is very soft if not hardly noticeable. Good flavor, but as a blond, more of an off shoot variety then your typical norm.

On draft from a friend's sixtel.

A - Shady Blond pours a hazy orange color with white foamy head.

S/T - Delicious orange smell and taste are extremely prominent. Lots of orange flavors up front.

M - Lightly malty and thin with a clean finish. Nice lacing.

O - Overall, this is a great summer beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a low ball style glass. Did not find any dating on the bottle.

Appearance is a muddled orange with a very thin amount of head that left no lacing in the glass. Unfiltered cloudy appearance.

Smells of grapefruit and orange.

Tastes almost like drinking a mimosa. Really light and easy on the palate.

Overall it's a fairly decent ale, nothing spectacular. It's a good beer to have on a hot day.

Cloudy orange with an orange aroma. Taste is not good for a blonde. It's an IPA. It's pale and bitter which angers me a bit; I was mislead. The taste actually isn't bad but it's not a blonde.
