Wow, this is a good one. I chose it because the details were interesting, but not too far off the charts. Smooth taste, goes down easy, not to strong, but with magnificent flavor. I'll get this one again, one of my favorites.

Clear pale golden color with modest swirls of foam in the Tripel Karmeliet snifter. Quite remarkable perfumey and fruity aroma. It makes me think of a Saison more than a Pilsner.

Brewery says this is made with Bavarian Hallertau and Tettnang hops. It's certainly loaded with hoppy aromatics. There is a distinct bitter aftertaste that lingers, but the honey flavor of the light malt seems to keep it under control. Fairly malty but crisp enough. More substantial than the typical PIlsner.

Another interesting and unusual German-inspired brew from Sudwerk. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft in San Diego.

Poured a straw color with a small head. Aroma was not like a typical pilsner, more fruit than malt. Fruity, juicy flavor with pilsner backbone. Light easy to drink, would have again for sure.

Poured from the bottle a clear yellow-gold color with two fingers of bright white head.

Aroma of pilsner malts, floral notes, Juicyfruit gum, and white grapes.

The taste was definitely a juicy pilsner. White grapes, white grape juice, Juicyfruit gum, pilsner malts and floral notes.

Lighter bodied and dry with a moderate carbonation.

I'm a fan of this pilsner from Sudwerk.
