Pours a clear gold color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt, hint of caramel malt, pale malt, hint of wheat, hint of alcohol, hint of mustiness, and slight citrus hops. Fits the style of a German Pilsner. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is an elevated dryness and bitterness. Tastes of sweet malt, hint of caramel malt, pale malt, hint of wheat, slight Euro yeast, hint of mustiness, and slight citrus hops. Overall, a full bodied and complex pilsner that is still light, well blended, and crisp. Well done Sudwerk. The only drawback is that it is quite dry and bitter for a Pilsner.

On tap. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled very floral with some sweet grains. Sweet toasted caramel with a mild bitterness.

Drank this on Christmas eve, started out drinking pilsners in winter. Pours a standard yellowish gold with good clarity and 1/3" white head. Aroma wasn't the most pungent lager or any skunkiness, but what it brought was strong enough to convey it was in fact a lager and not a watered down one (in terms of its yeast strain/usage).

Taste was a relative easy going drink, both in terms of hoppiness, carbonation and grains. Pretty strong and assertive yet nothing you have to focus on to drink or get through. No flaws. Pretty typical of a Sudwerk beer, good stuff if you're into that niche of a clean light lager full flavored brew, but also indistinguishable from a lot of other ones. Compared to something down the road like Trumer Pils, this one was less carbonated, less hoppy but a little bit more malt heft.
