I didn't notice anywhere that this was a double IPA, but it was definitely the Indicator IPA.
Pours a dark orangish amber with a white head that faded fast. The smell is extremely hoppy with a great deal of citrus, smells orangy. There is a huge hop flavor up front that faded fast, with no real bitter bite to follow. The flavor finishes with the citrus and sweet notes. This has a medium-light mouthfeel with good carbonation and a good balance. This one is easy to drink because the lack of any bitter bite, but the sweetness can get overwhelming like they didn't get a full fermentation in this batch. It was odd not having any bitterness, but still worth checking out, a good IPA.

had this ipa on a weekday afternoon, the color was a dark amber for an ipa, the name on the board was only indicator ipa, not double IPA so I am wondering if there are two different offerings there, anyway it was good, a little strong on the bitter side, cenntential hops for sure, the description said strong so I could tell he was going for the stronger more bitter style, overall very good, the only beer there that I tried.

Went back to HB Beer Co for the first time in a while. Greatly enjoyed the Indicator IPA, very well balanced, easy to drink, nice hop attack without overwhelming the malt, had two pints and didn't really notice until we got up to leave. Can't beat a good beer, sitting out on the balcony on a nice summer day!

I made my first trip to the brewery the other night and was excited to see a double IPA on the menu. It appeared as a IIPA should: a deep pale with a touch of amber. The taste was phenomenal--very spicy but with a near perfect hop balance to the strong malts.
My one criticism was the smell. The hop aroma was completely missing. This was surprising considering the spiciness of the taste, but alas, not much of a hop aroma.
