Served in a pint glass at the brewery’s sister Hard Truth restaurant.

Look: Dark brown with a 1/2” tan head that receded to a foam cap with adequate lacing.

Nose: Peanut butter, dark roast, chocolate, and cooked brown sugar.

Attack: Follows the nose, plus coffee.

Finish: Bitterness from the roast to balance.

Mouthfeel: Medium, sufficient carbonation.

Overall: As it should, this tastes exactly like their sound Busted Knuckle porter with the addition of peanut butter — full-flavored, tasty, and drinkable. The addition of the peanut butter is quite nice.

I will admit it a tad sweet but this is very tasty and my favorite from Quaff On which is right down the road from me. My blood sugar doesn't like it too well! Very very good!

I like peanut butter beers, but this beer was so gross I made an account on this website to tell the world to save their money, Its almost like a completely different beer between sips ranging from not great but drinkable all the way to disgusting. Please get something else, I can't give away the two left in my 4 pack, and yes I tried a 2nd one because everything deserves a 2nd chance but half the second one went right down the sink (I pray my septic tank doesn't have the same experience I did). Drink at your own risk.

Had fresh at hard wood hills location. Fantastic peanut butter aroma. Taste follows the nose, with an admittedly fake (but not unpleasant) peanut butter flavor. Creamy and spritzy bubbles. Syrupy coke consistency. Overall this is a very solid beer fresh. Probably terrible if old.

Black pour with an initially generous tan head. The head disappears quickly leaving little residual lacing.

The smell starts the mystery of what else might be in this beer. Yes, there’s peanut butter on the nose. But there’s also a candy bar nougat smell. Maybe even a little marshmallow.

The taste also goes beyond peanut butter. And this isn’t the typical salty peanut flavor that exists in many peanut butter porters, it’s sweeter. There’s hints of sweet caramel and again maybe marshmallow. It really tastes like a candy bar I had as a kid but can’t quite remember it exactly.

Overall, not a bad after dinner sipper if you want something sweet. Wish I could solve the mystery of what else is in this beer.

Appearance: Deep dark black with ruby highlights. Khaki suds nice. Not really any lace to speak of.

Aroma: Straight-up salty peaut butter. Impressive!

Taste: Sweetly malty with an underbelly that reveals a salty peanut butter feel a bit. Overall a really enjoyable flavored stout that rises above similar attempts at this style. Not sure how authentic the peanut butter infusion is here, but it works remaining faithful in flavor while not seeming too forced or artificial. One I’d love to try again.
