This beer was initially brewed by the now defunct Seigneuriale brewery in Boucherville. Unibroue decided to revive it in 2012, in honour of its name and unique recipe.

The "Régime Seigneurial" flourished in New France until the mid-nineteenth century. In 1667, Pierre Boucher, Sieur de Grosbois, established a seigneurie in Boucherville on the South Shore of Montreal. The last three seigneurs resided in the sumptuous François Pierre Boucher manor of Boucherville, which was built in the 1750s and declared a historical monument in 1974. This ale is dedicated to these ancestral roots.

Cloudy light amber color topped with a massive white head that melts very slowly to a creamy, sticky lacing.
Aromas are typical Belgium but slightly subdued.
While the taste is typical Belgium as well in the yeast and malt treatment, there is also the presence of grapefruit peel hops and Christmas-like spices...cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.
Mouthfeel is creamy...not thick...just creamy from the extensive carbonation.
Aftertaste beginning with the swallow is lots of cinnamon spice, cardamom, and bitter citrus peel hops.
Unusual.

750ml bottle: This one pours a murky, oxidized copper color. There was a wisp of an off-white head that left no lacing. Good nose. Yeasty and bready. Some grains, biscuit, faint spice and fruits. The taste is very good. Bready and yeasty, some spiciness, fruits, malts, grains, biscuit. A lot in there with nothing really on top of anything else. Just an excellent blend of flavors. I would definitely buy this one again.

Veiled amber color with low activity. Extra foamy and frothy beige 3 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with strong legs and swirl reaction. Flavors of honey, sweet grains, apples, peach, caramel, Belgian yeast, and floral hops. Slick and oily medium body with sharp crispy carbonation. Medium to strong strength finish, dominantly grainy and yeasty while slightly fruity. High freshness and drinkability. Overall high quality craft.

Thanks to Maya and Jim for this one. 12oz bottle poured into 12oz tulip. Poured an extremely attractive dark orange-copper color with an inch-and-a-half of fluffy, bubbly, white head that had head that dissipated at casual rate, and left interesting lace.

The aroma featured that Belgiany yeast that i'm such a fan of, upfront, with nice grain in the background. On the tongue, it's a similar story, yeast dominant, earthy grains, and maybe a wee bit of grassy hops.

The body was pleasantly well-rounded, while having a great level of active carbonation that kept things interesting. Drinkability was great, if you're into this style, you'll want more. Overall, another very nice job from our frinds in Quebec. Worth your time when you see it.

Clear brown with a thick head. Spicy malt nose. Sour Belgian yeast with tasty malt. Firm carbonation. Good beer to be sipped.

Pours with a thick white head, hazy medium brown in color. Definitely a very spicy beer in both smell and look. Relatively high levels of carbonation.

Appearance - This beer was bottled 2 and a half years ago in may 2013, a 750 ml corked bottle it was perfect for that. Thee beer pours a slightly hazy orangy brown color with 2 fingers of offwhite head that receed to half a finger and then stay there. Very active carbonation,

Aroma - I get sweet apple pear and grape at first followed by some light peppery spice and some caramel. No bread smell I've come to know unibroue for.

Taste -You get that same apple pair grape at the beginnning followed by a peppery spice and some orange peel, banana, clove, and a fiarly bitter slightly sweet citrusy finish. Must have more hops than the other unbroue beers I've tried. Fantastic none the less.

Feel -This is a medium bodied ale with creamy carbnonation, More bitterness than most unibroue beers I've had but really its pretty good still. sometimes its good to break the norms.

Overall - This is another fantastic offering from unibroue and if you ever find a bottle of it I think you should try it, The flavors mesh well together the aromas are nice and the carbonation is very strong yet creamy. I really enjoyed this.
