A new beer from Unibroue born of the friendship between its Brewmaster Jerry Vietz and Dave Mustaine, legendary lead vocalist and founder of heavy metal group Megadeth, is officially launching today in the U.S. and Quebec. Named À TOUT LE MONDE as a nod to one of the band’s songs and one of their biggest hits in Quebec, this beer recalls the consonance of Unibroue’s flagship beer, La Fin du Monde.

Dave Mustaine became friends with Jerry Vietz during Megadeth tours in Quebec. During their time together, Dave and Jerry created À TOUT LE MONDE as a symbol of their friendship. “At Unibroue, we appreciate flavour – and we know Megadeth is anything but boring,” explains Jerry Vietz, Brewmaster at Unibroue. “To Megadeth’s delight and that of their fans and connoisseurs, we’re offering an uncompromising beer with rich hoppy aromas, created according to Dave’s personal tastes.”

“Our shared passion for excellence produced a one-of-a-kind saison beer,” added Dave Mustaine, Megadeth’s lead vocalist and founder. “I’m thrilled to present this new beer to my fans, and everyone who loves good beers with character.”

À TOUT LE MONDE ale is a flavorful Belgian style dry hopped golden saison with hoppy and spicy notes. Topped by an unctuous head, this beer will give fans a clean, fresh taste and a crisp dry finish inviting to take another sip.

12oz bottle (best by 3-10-2024, so I guess either March 10 or October 3 of next year) into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a soft white head that settles to a thin film on the surface, good carbonation.

Aroma is grainy, funky and fruity, with notes of peach, pear and apple. Some floral Old World hops in there too.

Taste is subtle and delicate, like the aroma. Pale biscuity malt and light Belgian yeast mostly. Hints of lemon zest, some vague spices (white pepper and coriander if I had to guess, but I’d probably be wrong). Moderate bitterness. Picking up a vague crushed-aspirin quality too. Almost reminiscent of a gose, though I’ve had only a handful of those, if that.

Mouthfeel is (not surprisingly for a 4.5% beer) light, bordering on watery. Prickly carbonation. Drinkable but perhaps not entirely satisfying.

Overall this was an interesting beer to try but I won’t be going out to buy a six-pack.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear orange/gold with a medium white head that disappears quickly. Aroma: yeast, apple, clove, bubble gum, slight funk. Taste: much like the aroma, with apple juice, clove, malty finish. It's pretty complex, I taste different flavors as it warms. This is a great low ABV saison, a great summer beer when I'm tired of other low ABV options.

This beer pours a golden straw color with a nice head. Aromas of bready yeast, coriander, clove, and light fruit are complemented by herbal and grassy notes. The taste is initially lightly sweetened with peach and apricot, followed by hop bitterness, and finishing with a crisp, lightly sweetened, and balanced taste with a cracker-like quality. The body is light with a clean effervescent carbonation. Overall, this is an easy-drinking, well-balanced beer.

Bottle
L-perfect offwhite 2F head fades with attractive lacing over a cloudy straw yellow
S-Belgian esters dominate initially. Underneath are subtle grass and mineral notes
T-there are malt notes and several sometimes competing mineral notes overlying it.
F-crisp, clean, smooth and on the lighter side
O-a beautiful pour and a reasonably attractive nose. The flavor is a little unbalanced but the beer is still enjoyable.

Hazy amber with a modest head. Sweet aroma: caramel, apple, ripe fruit. Taste is well balanced, nice flavor: apple & banana, coriander, pepper & lots of spices. Feel is thin & well carbonated. This is an excellent spicy Belgium To All the World.

A funky sweet smell dominates. It's a bit fruity and a bit yeasty.

It's a mild fruity sweetness with a bunch of complex funk from the yeast.

It's thin with a lot of foamy carbonation. It has a clean finish that is quick and still brings some of the funk.

Not a bad beer. I give it a 3.9 out of 6.

Buuuurrrp! Boy is this stuff is fizzy. It may have been 4.5% at the plant but bottle fermented I doubt it.
Wow what a great flavor. Nice clean mouthfeel after it sits and fizzes out in a frozen glass for about 5 min... Like a rich beer without the syrup and a nice alcohol bite once your done.
Great for head banging and burp wars straight out the bottle.
