look: 3 | smell: 3 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

Appearance - A little under a finger of bathsoap head that quickly falls to a paper-thin white sheet. Very alive with carbonation. The beer is an opaque, murky yellow with a hint of dirty brown. Does not lace to the glass well.

Smell - Light sour funk and berries. Banana and spiced clove linger in the nostrils. Easy on the nose overall.

Taste - The clove and banana transfer nicely from the smell. Light pineapple and plantains coat smoothly over the tongue. A light sour lemon zest takes the reigns, before handing them over to the sweet, yet bitter, tropical fruits.

Mouthfeel and overall - Very sour on the tongue when the beer first hits it. Medium bodied all-in-all. Tingles the tongue and inside of the cheeks.

look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

Look: Pale yellowish gold with a quickly dissipating white head and some sediment

Aroma: Light wheat scent with a lemon zest overtone

Taste: Light cool flavor of barley heavily accented with a floral/citrus taste

Feel: Light on the tongue and easy going down with a nice amount of carbonation

Overall: Light, smooth and flavorful. A very good summer beer

Poured into a tulip.

A: The Blanche De Chambly has a clean and crisp look to it. Robust and yellow in its body, foamy and white in its head, it's simple. Any monotony is broken, however, by the fogginess of the body and the vibrancy of the carbonation.

S: If the coriander rises far above the other scents, it at least gives the beer a pleasant air. Notable also is wheat and orange. Refreshing if a bit unbalanced.

T: A better balancing of the aroma. Wheat, coriander and orange share equal footing and a nice earthy aftertaste punctuates this simple experience.

M: A zealous amount of carbonation provides this beer with a vivacious feel that gives some robustness to the thin body.

O: Refreshing is the key word here. A simple and well-balanced Witbier.
