La Fin Du MondeLa Fin Du Monde

Brewed by:
Quebec, Canada

Style: Tripel

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
La Fin du Monde was developed through 18 months of research on a unique strain of yeast originating from Europe. It is brewed in honor of the intrepid European explorers who believed they had reached the “end of the world” when they discovered North America ‘the new world’. This triple-style golden ale recreates the style of beer originally developed in the Middle Ages by trappist monks for special occasions and as such it was the first of its kind to be brewed in North America.

Big bottle poured into a Teku glass. Best by 2020.

Pours a light orange color with tons of carbonation. The head is enormous too! It actually keeps rising even after about a minute of pouring it. Nice lacing.

Smell of banana, green apple, cloves, and a peppery spice to it.

Taste is plum, fig, banana, crisp apple, and a really tough to describe peppery spice. The flavors really pop once it warms up especially the plum and fig sweetness.

Feel is light and refreshing.

Overall a solid beer and one I enjoy when dining out.
