Style: Tripel

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
La Fin du Monde was developed through 18 months of research on a unique strain of yeast originating from Europe. It is brewed in honor of the intrepid European explorers who believed they had reached the “end of the world” when they discovered North America ‘the new world’. This triple-style golden ale recreates the style of beer originally developed in the Middle Ages by trappist monks for special occasions and as such it was the first of its kind to be brewed in North America.

Though I prefer something hoppier/fuller, this was a good beer. It did not hide the alcohol very well, but that wasn't necessarily a downside - more of a preference thing. In summary, it was a little on the expensive side for my preferences but a good, low-IBU beer and may be a good one to throw in a mix pack from time to time.

Look, light hazy gold with creamy head.
Smell, banana and spice.
Taste, jackfruit with pepperish spice
Feel, like cheesecake, but I'm liking it, a lot. Warm stomach feel. or YUM!
I love a Triple, but this is not as hoppy as I am used to. This is a wonderful beverage. I am very glad I got it and found it in a corner at my grocer. I probably could not drink a lot of these. Rich and alcoholic. I'd get sleepy.
i would highly recommend this beer.

My second favorite beer in the Belgium Tripel style and much more broadly available than my number 1 choice.

IBU 19. Good tasting beer but the smell is not too pleasant. A light strong tasting beer, goes down smoothly with little aftertaste. Overall OK beer.

Poured into goblet @ room temperature and what appeared was,a golden orange body with a frothy head. Aroma was fruity bananas along with banana flavor and burnt rum Belgian sugar. A mild hint of booze but works well with the banana. A real treat.

Look: Very rich and vibrant orange color with about an inch of head.
Smell: Has a sweet, fruity smell with a hint of spice that's not overpowering, but there.
Taste: The fruit and the sweetness are very dominant. It's 9% ABV and that's very noticeable (at least for my palate).
Feel: Has a very rich and creamy feel. Just the right about of carbonation.
Overall: It's really great...not my favorite (personal preference) but it's truly enjoyable.
P.S. This is my first review...still developing my palate and finding ways to describe my experience :)

Looks golden yellow with a 1" frothy head
Smells of citrusy fruits, getting lemon and orange plus some pepper zing
Taste follows the nose although I'm also getting some banana. Dry finish
Mouthfeel is light and bubbly not overly carbonated.
Overall a decent tripel but nothing out of this world

Nice trippel. I prefer to Gulden Draak and that is a high compliment
