Style: Fruit / Vegetable Beer

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.50%

Availability: Spring

Notes / Commercial Description:
As its name suggests, Éphémère is an ephemeral ale that comes and goes with the seasons. It was developed as a series to feature a seasonal fruit in a refreshing, lightly spiced white ale. The label depicts a fairy, an ephemeral spirit associated with fruits picked at the peak of ripeness during each harvest season. She first appeared in the spring of 2001 and has since been celebrated on a variety of seasonal fruit ales such as apple (brewed all year long), cranberry, blackcurrant, peach, raspberry and blueberry.

The most beloved and well known of the Éphémère beer series. Its amazing popularity across North America has made it a year-round favourite instead of only a seasonal brew.

Nice fruit beer. I thought it was really well done. Not too sweet and resembles a beer more then nicklebrooks apple pilsner which i also enjoy but is more like a cider then a beer. I would buy it again.

Look: Curiously like cider, a golden orange with practically no head.

Smell: Faint apples are the predominant scent, followed by slightly spicy hop character. But mostly apples.

Taste: The most cidery beer ever! Follows the nose, with subtle apple and just a hint of malt to remind you that it’s barley. Could do with a stronger flavor.

Mouthfeel: Again, cidery thin and carbonated.

Overall: While I enjoy it, it really needs to be bolder. It’s a good sipper, but why not buy cider?

Too much like the taste of Granny Smith apples to appeal to me. Fruit flavoured beers have never inspired me. Okay for a test; but not a long term love affair

From Saveur Biere. In Teku glass. Playing Sentience An Android's Tale. Plenty of fresh and natural apple flavors, in both aroma and taste. Pleasant but a bit unidimensional a light bodied though

Shiny, slightly hazed gold body, dense white head.
Baskets full of apples in the aroma, bubblegum, grape, and a musty funk, like apples left on the ground of an orchard for too long.
First impression is it's sweeter and more cloying than expected (not crisp), and on the flat side in terms of carbonation. Sugary rather than fruity, although you do definitely get apple coming through. Bready malts. Lacks vibrancy or interesting flavour.
A disappointing brew, lacking full flavour and the body is drab. The high sugar content is reminiscent of those mass brands. Skip it

This was quite possibly the best non-apple cider beer I've ever had...

A fruity beer disguised as a wheat beer, it had a very strong flavor of apples, some orange, and light on the hops. Nonetheless, though it reminded me of a Redd's Apple Ale, it was much better from the perspective of a true beer. Great hazy look, very sweet to the nose, with a decent amount of carbonation. I tasted more apples than I would have like, but overall it was a solid beer.
