a: super-clear pale orange color with some slight amber notes. pours a rather large white marshmellow head, but that fades slowly but settles as a thin film on top

s: banana, pear, green apples, citrus zest, sweet caramel malts, clove, some slightly zesty peppery yeast. something almost funk-like in here as well

t: ripe pear and green apple right away followed by that sweet malt. behind that i'm picking up a little bit of that Belgian yeast spice - a bit peppery, and just a touch of clove...maybe some cardamom as well. the yeast is providing a light floral presence which is nice. there is just a touch of citrus zest and that slight funk presence in here as well. finishes sweet and not too dry

m: its a medium mouthfeel, however the carbonation level is a bit low for a BPA, and thats my biggest criticism of this beer. is not terribly under-carbonated, but it could definitely use more

o: aroma and taste are nice. i'd like a bit more pop from the pears and apples, and perhaps if the carbonation level was a little higher we'd get that. but, still worth a purchase and a drink. i'm enjoying it for sure, and the carbonation isn't enough to knock off serious points. a really nice beer

Appearance: medium to darker golden color with suds on one side of the cup. Head was thick, but no lacing left behind as it dissipated.

Smell: Fruity, aromatic and spicy. Fruitfulness just enough to overpower the alcohol as it seeps into your nostril membranes.

Taste: I can taste some apricots. I guess if you want to call them pepper notes then that is there as well mixed with the fruitiness. You can definitely taste the dry and crispness of the ale as it sinks in to the back of the mouth. The alcohol smell is perfectly balanced with the amount of fruit and spice mixture for a B.S.P.A.

Feel: Goes down with some earthy notes and a little alcohol flavor mixed with some honey notes.

Overall: Great representation of a Belgium Strong Pale Ale. Can definitely taste the fruitfulness mixed with just the right amount of spiciness. Also, Leaves a feeling in the mouth that makes you wanting more... If you're into that sort of thing, (Alcohol/fruitiness/Banana Bread)
